I hope it's ok if I refer to Colt's logo as "the Dancing Pony" (similar to car guys referencing Ferrari's logo).

I work in a pawn shop selling firearms. In our display case, we have a pair of small, single shot pistols.
We all know what they are. You do and I do.
If I had a quarter for every person that calls them "dillingers", I would be a very wealthy man.

I think all these terms come from Richard Simmons, I think it
was him that started the "veggie" stuff. When people use these
terms, it's like nails on a black board to my ears.

I've always heard BEEMER when referring to the car. Lot of people I know own BEEMERS and not one owns a motorcycle

The Brit army does this. Gimpy for General Purpose machine gun, Remmy or Mossy for shotguns, and of course, shottie.

Around here for as long as I can remember, a lot of folks call their International trucks, "binders". I think that those nick names and things like Mossy and such are OK as long as you are able to understand the true meaning of the term. Too much trouble to worry about it. Makes me all cray cray.
Peace,
gordon

I tried, I googled euphemisms, just can't recall the silly spit term used here for trigger finger.
Bang finger wasn't it.
Or was it "keep your finger off the bang switch"?

I think the State of Texas will resend anyone’s concealed carry license if they are caught using such terms. If not they should. Anyone asking to see my weenie had best be female.

I'm pretty much okay with "snubby" I guess, but I was at a gunshow last weekend and a guy was looking for a snubby for his wifey. Makes me wonder who wears the big boy pants in that relationship.

Considering this thread started with slang terms for firearms it seems to be getting a bit off topic but as long as we're pushing the envelope of "snubby":
Itsy bitsy teenie weenie stubby snubby?

Ha! Actually I find that to be more of an accurate description rather than slang.

I'm growing tired of the folks who say they are "running such and such" on their firearms.
It was bad enough when "tactical" everything started popping up, but now the average Joe is trying to sound like he's an "operator".

When I first saw this thread title, I thought we would be talking about RV's. Now having read 5 pages, I get the drift.
My all time favorite, "do you sell bullet heads?"
