I have a lantern with a 12V gel cell. The bulb looks like the 6V bulb in the pic. Can't find the proper bulb on Amazon and I hope one of you knows the ID number of the 12V bulb.

Is there an LED replacement with the same base as the bulb I'm looking for?

Looks like a standard flashlight bulb from the past. I have 5 just like that that have been hanging around for years in my bulb box. Take a trip to the hardware store, they used to stock this item.

Standard bulb, bayonet mount. Doubt you will find any LED to replace it.

A standard flashlight bulb won't work. It's only 3V.

Still looking................

You have a pre focased or PR lamp.
For 12 volt you will need a PR 12
Search pr12 bulb and you will have hundreds of options both incandescent as well as LED

Might this work?

No studs, so not bayonet type.

Ditto on LED replacement recommendation. More light, longer battery life, and the LED will outlast all of us.

Problem Solved

Bought a 10-pack of LEDs from Amazon at $9. Had to modify the lantern's bulb receptacle by drilling out the nylon block to accept a bulb base I had in my junk box. The old bulb was held in place by a wire spring retainer which wouldn't work with the LED. Also, the old bulb didn't have studs. The new LED does.

Had to adjust the bulb depth/reflector relationship to get a good light pattern.

A nice super white light now.

The original power source was a pair of 6V dry-cell batteries in parallel. Now power is provided by a 12V
7ah gel cell.

Thanks for all the suggestions. What a great Forum!
