Darrell Ward - Ice Road Trucker.
Do you watch Ice Road Truckers?
I just learned that Darrell Ward, the Montana Log Hauling Legend, is no more.
He recently passed in a plane crash in Montana.

Friend of his bought a new to him plane and he went for a short ride with him to meet their families at a small strip. For whatever reason they banked into the trees.

I took out a 30' pine tree and stopped against one to big to be knocked down with an 18 wheeler and survived. The truck and trailer were a total loss.
Years ago a friend wanted me to check out taking flight lessons on small prop planes and I said okay. While talking with the instructor I asked how dependable are the engines on these small planes. He said about like my Harley I rode there on. That was enough for me......no flight lessons for me. On a Harley I am only a few feet off the ground and if the engine quits I can coast to a stop. In a plane several hundred feet in the air and engine quits I probably will not be able to coast to the ground without getting hurt.
