Two year old shoots sister, one. Baton Rouge
Take a look at this report. I wonder if maybe something different actually happened. What do you all think? Two years old, would he be able to pull the trigger? I don't know what gun it was.

I thought this was fishy.....
I thought this story smelled fishy also, but I'm not going to try to imagine whether it happened that way or not because I have no way of knowing. I do know that people are pulling all kinds of imagining and stunts to deflect blame from themselves.

my take ... the charges are better indicators than the news.
The mother did not own this gun, her friend did.
the friend was not charged ... the mother was.
Goes right along with something I've observed among some of the age group. Having a boyfriend to love them and make them whole in their empty little unstable heads outweighs everything else in the universe.

Do you have a source of more information than is contained in the article? Or are you making assumptions about who owned the gun, whether or not the friend was or will be charged, and the effect a boyfriend had on this whole sorry situation?
In response to the OP, when my son was still in his crib, he threw a fit wanting an old pocket knife I had just used to tighten some screws. I thought the springs were so stiff he would never get it open. I was wrong. I was stupid. Fortunately, it was a minor cut.

Yes ... there is a link in the article to another paper from which it was derived. It's information is far more complete.
I call em as I see em, and I suspect the DA does the same

There was a case here several months ago that was very similar, where a 2-year-old allegedly shot herself in the head. When the police arrived the gun was missing and it has not been recovered. My husband and I had this same discussion when we heard the story. The girl survived but is now disabled and I don't believe that anyone was charged with any wrongdoing despite the sketchy circumstances.
