I've passed through this tiny town at least 10 X a score of times
in my lifetime. Today is the first time I've gone through en route
to Cody to pick up a new Chiefs Special.

I had to stop for photos.

Default For the budding surgeon in your family

I've found a lot of interesting stuff at Penny Pinchers Estate Sales in Bellingham WA, but this operating table was a first. $450 if anyone is interested.

The tag said "operating table", but I think you may be right. I should check the obits to see if the local coroner died

Just bought a SIG 322.
Shot it the other day, one Mag with Stingers,
The other with MiniMags.
No Problemo!
It’s probably the aging Eyeballs, I really like the larger more visible Sights!

Here's some pics I took of a Das Werk 1/16 Panzer III Ausf. J I finished a few days ago. My original intent was to do a winter whitewash look, but I couldn't make it look right, so I stayed with the base dunkelgrau.

Maybe I need to invest in a better camera. The subtle weathering and washes don't really show up in these pics. I wanted it to look used, but not like it had been in combat for years without maintenance.

The pineapples are back! Out of 100 plants, 31 are showing fruit this time! Fortunately they’re popping up in stages so they won’t all be ripe at the same time.

Yellow beak, maybe a Robin.
I have no clue what birds live in NC.

Only time I touch birds, is when they fly into out glass doors and I have to
place a drop of water on their beak, and hope it survives.
So far, 3 for 3 have finally got up and flew off after their heads, cleared.

Yeah, from memory, his fondest recollection from that time was opening a pork patty ration with no heat allowed and not being able to stomach the congealed pork fat on the top of the ration that he was supposed to eat for breakfast.

I think he said he just got the smokes out of the ration and gave the rest away.

Every morning before making coffee, I "throw out the has-beans" from my French press and this morning, with the temp. sitting right on 32º, I was greeted by the morning sun creating steam as it melted the dew on my metal shed. The tractor and excavator usually stored in the shed are out in the field from yesterday's yard work as I have more to do.

Random Object Photographs-img_3225-jpg

and from the front deck, looking out towards the road:

Random Object Photographs-img_3224-jpg

I love mornings like this.

The old Four One on Simpson St, aka Fort Apache back in the ~70’s. Later to be known as Little House on the Prairie.

A few years ago my gf discovered several baby skunks that had taken up residence under her ground-level deck. No sight of mama, so she assumed they were orphans. They would come out during the day and follow her around like wobbly little bumper cars (I remember posting pics here.) Eventully she got them to the local humane society but they were incredibly cute and didn't bother her cats (or vice versa) so she's always had a soft spot for them.

Yesterday she checked the trail camera I lent her and sure enough, Mama skunk was busy at night packing leaves under the deck for her new brood.

Default "Mmmmm...! Scrambled eggs!"

Katarzyna Kudłacz was preparing a breakfast of scrambled eggs at a research station on Svalbard when she looked up to see she had three unexpected guests... a female polar bear and her two cubs peering into the Polish research station in Hornsund, in the south of the Norwegian archipelago, their noses pressed up against the window...

The family looked healthy, she said, and “only looked at our windows with interest”, but the team decided to fire a flare gun to frighten the bears away...
