As title states, I ordered Amazon Prime. What do I need to stream videos from Amazon to my TV?

Get an Amazon Echo, and ask her nicely .....
Kidding. What brand and model do you have? Not all "Smart" TV's have native Amazon capability. Might need a dongle.

Assuming you have a home network...
If ya got a smart TV it probably has the Amazon App on it. If it doesn't, the manufacture of the TV may have an update or able to download the App from their site. If you don't have a smart TV an Amazon stick for an HDMI input on your TV will work. If you have an iPhone or iPad and an AppleTV you can stream Amazon content from your IOS device to the TV. There's other ways...

It's a Samsung TV, about a year to 1 1/2 years old.

A new Samsung smart TV... as long as you have a home network you're good to go.

Samsung TV- Open your Smart Hub, select Amazon.
Follow instructions to sign in on computer and register TV - by entering code displayed on TV.
I just did that, am now a fully signed in member!
With a 30 day trial period!
If they like me, I could easy become a regular member!
I may need character referencesM

Yep. That's how the smart tv gets to the Internet to access the Amazon data. At least that's how mine does. Sounds like you have everything you need, I'm not familiar with the Samsung, but you should be able to use the remote that came with the tv to navigate to the appropriate menu. I love old movies, and there are a bunch on Amazon. New ones also, but I kind of enjoy the old black and white "Film Noir" movies. Thousands of other things to watch also...and if you feel like it, you can binge watch, or pause and come back next week!!
Best Regards, Les

I have two ways of doing it. I bought an Amazon firestick and hook to the HDMI terminal. I also have a Samsung DVD player which has the app.
Easy peasy.

Thanks for all the replies. Now to see what I can do without having to call my 2 year old granddaughter to do it.
No, seriously.

Your WiFi is probably OK, if it's recent hardware, and you don't have six teenagers streaming video from it. If you hook it up and get video lag/stutter, then new hardware or running a network wire to the TV might be in order.
Of course, if there were teens about, you'd be on your second movie by now.

They offer a wide selection of ninja movies to me for some reason? I need something called a Firestick because I cannot stream to my Chromecast. Ninja movies and Firesticks, does this have something to do with the fact that I frequent an online gun forum? I'm still enjoying my 30 day free trial of Prime with no intent to continue when it expires.

I like being able to stream to my iPad and iPhone as well as the tv. So I'm watching a movie at home, and have to go somewhere like take the GF to the hospital for tests. I take the iPad along and pick up the movie where I left off instead of watching whatever stuff they are showing in the waiting room. Just an example, and could do the same on the iPhone, but the screen is a little small. I like that they have literally hundreds of thousands of movies and tv shows, and that I can watch a whole season of a show with no commercials...
Best Regards, Les

May I suggest Netflix to go along with Amazon? Can't beat it for $12.00 a month.
