Vintage Weaver K4 and Weaver pivot base and rings
I acquired a vintage Weaver K4 El Paso, Texas scope with a Weaver pivot base and rings. The base and rings are marked 170 and apparently fit the 500 and 600 series of Remington Rifles.
My question is what kind of value does this combo have and what kind of demand will there be for them? I'll include photos later.

No responses, but I'll post a few pictures anyway. Can't hurt.

The K4 - 60 is a fairly late Weaver scope, but don't know what it might be worth. It looks like the scope mount bends down at the rear; could it be for a Savage 99? The tip-off mounts are for hunting so you can use the iron sights if you have to.

I have a number of older Weaver and Lyman scopes. I have a few old rifles and though I have a modern scopes on them I also have period correct scopes for them. Most of the scopes came from gun shows or out of the storage room at some gun shop. I think the the most expensive one was a Lyman that was marked JC Higgins (Sears) and it has brass pre mounts for the adjustment knobs, that scope cost me about $40.00.

The El Paso weavers were what I think some of the finest scopes made and service is still being done by a technician in Texas you can google weaver repair and a couple of folks will come up. I have several K-4's and K-12'S have owned for 45 years and they are sharp and clear. Jeff

I had a model 70 Winchester with a Weaver K4 on it back in the late
1950s when I was in college in Montana. I took deer, antelope, elk,
and black bear with it. Great memories. I gave the gun (and scope)
away in 1999. When I told my wife, she said "you did what? Are you
crazy?" (That's where the handle crazyphil came from). As far as value
is concerned, I would say it is priceless. I don't remember ever missing
a shot with it.

On a good day you might get $50 for the scope and $20 for the mount

This is good appraisal. The condition of scope looks a little rough,
the Weaver pivots look to me they are for Rem 742/760 rifles.
This used to be a popular outfit back in 60s. I have a lot of
Weavers that were bought new back then, good scopes in their
day. Common fault is leaking seals.
