Grillin' Pork, Drinking Beer and Smoking a Cigar on a Warm Sunny Day
Beautiful warm sunny day.
We finally got the grass cut and the vehicles washed.
Afterwards it was cigar, beer and grillin' time.

nothing wrong with that snuff.... we only live once... you are doing everything in moderation after your chores were done.. me thinks you've "earned" the right to enjoy yourself.
Here's hoping you & your lady enjoy another fine meal & evening together... LIFE IS GOOD.. enjoy the one He gives each of us...

While my wife was at work today, I finished my "honey do" list and still had enough time for a cigar on my front porch.

Snubby, If it weren't so cold up there I'd probably be your neighbor.
I guy don't need much to be happy.
My list would be, A place where I can enjoy nature. (read that saltwater and fishing) A cozy house with a nice yard for the dogs and a garage. A big garage.
So, I'm looking up the coast and found a smaller house with a two car garage in my price range. I could use a bigger garage but I'll get by.
I'll make an offer tomorrow. We'll see. The market is hot now and you gotta get in quick. Wish me luck.

We have the mountains with hiking and biking trails, a near by river and camping areas.
Who needs Skyline drive when you live out here?
I kinda like the seasons, they all have their own beauty.
But I gotta admit that I like Summer the most.
I always intended to retire to a place in the mountains.
Good luck with the offer, let us know how it works out.

My bones can't handle the cold anymore. I wanted to move somewhere up that way but am glad I didn't now.
The offer is in and I understand she has two more offers. I met her price and am a cash buyer so I think my chances are good.
It's a 2/2/2 in a nice neighborhood, all of the houses there are bigger and newer and mo money but I don't need that. My current place (mobile home) is too nice for the neighborhood so selling it will be easy. I should be able to get almost as much for it as I'm bidding on the house.
Sorry for the hijack but I'm on pins and needles right now. I'll make a thread for it if I get it.
Thanks for the positive vibes. Groovy.

Pork chops are low in fat and high in protein.
Asparagus, green veggies.
Cigars have no calories.
All I had that day up to that point was a 140 calorie granola bar.

Wish it would stop raining here long enough for me to get some stuff done.
One day in the 80's and back to the 50.s....

Look at the bright side of it!''Oh gosh Honey, another rainy day!I hate it when I'm getting so logged behind in my 'round the house tasks!Guess all there's left to do for me is wait for sunny days while sipping a cold beer''.
Try it:it worked for me up until our second year of marriage!

Me too, but I have discovered through careful calculation that it's THE FOOD, not the beer. Moderate THE FOOD and drink better beer!

A different thing. Im not one weho likes a cheeseburger with mustard and all the fixings. I have had two in 2 weeks all-the-way--which would freak out my parents if they were around to witness this?
Back to pork chops. Geeze--I havent had any in about 15 years.

I had a friend who lived in Longview, WA--and several years ago-he said it rained at least once a day for at least 40 days. Had to buy a pump of some kind to use in his basement to keep from flooding???

Snubby - BTW
I too am into Fuentes and usually get the Double Chateau Natural - DEFINITELY worth trying a box! Of course a cigar from an Island only 40 miles off the Keys tastes good once in a while too ....

Sounds like pure enjoyment!
Got the car washed this morning, worked researching data for an article, and this evening we intend to dig into some primo Mexican food, a couple of Margaritas and some cinnamon sopapias. While I used to enjoy an occasional fine cigar, I haven't smoked anything since my uncle and dad both died before their times from cigarette smoking 30 years ago.
Life is good in retirement! Every day is Saturday and is a blessing. We dropped from a record-setting 108 degrees a couple of days ago to the mid-70s today. Nice.
John

I've got some Double Chateau Maduros, 858 Naturals, Sungrown Belicosos, Rosado Sungrowns and a few Opus X Robustos I'm saving for a special occasion.

Snubby,
WOW! I guess you really like Fuentes - I agree 100%. In the 40 years I've been smokin' them I can not ever remember having a bad one! While their hi-end line Ashton is really good too, they are only a fraction better but 2.5 times the cost and i can't justify that.

They're good dependable super premiums at a reasonable price.
Works for me.
