I remember a story from some years ago about some wounded bird which was an endangered species. Some wildlife group rescued it and saved its life, and after months of care brought it back to flying condition. They put together a celebration event to release it back into the wild. As soon as it was thrown into the air, a hawk zoomed down and grabbed it.
