At 3:14 this afternoon Sunday, Christmas Eve, 12/24/17, my Thunderbird email client notified me of new email by quacking like a duck. I thought it was a message from a cousin who is in town from San Antonio. No, it was an update from the USPS on a package from MidwayUSA which was coming via UPS Mail Innovations (the low cost dreaded hybrid ship option).
The email said my package had been delivered in or about my mailbox minutes earlier. I went out to my mailbox and sure enough there was the package I was expecting it next week. When I made the order the estimated delivery date was something like 12/28/17. It was a toy for me, not a Christmas gift. The delivery folks did not know that and busted tail to get a little nostalgic pocket knife to me in time for Christmas.
These folks went above and beyond the call of duty, and way beyond what I expected and paid for. They brought me a little Buck 503 Prince pocket knife in time for Christmas and I was not expecting it! Thanks to all the delivery folks that get it.
I'll try not to loose this little Buck as fast as I did the others. This one was delivered with a story.
Merry Christmas Folks!
