That's pure nonsense.
If anything, so many movies today portray
over-the-top masculinity.
What is different, is more women are
portrayed as able to knock bad guys
and good guys for very nasty loops.
He had a cameo appearance in The Grand Budapest Hotel, another funny movie.

A good movie. It didn't make me wanna go enlist, but many good lines. (BLOWN UP SIR), Warren Oates played a great part.

Stripes is a great movie but other than that I didn't care much for him.
The movie does have some great lines.
When someone at work is being to dramatic I tell them to "settle down francis"
or, if someone mentions a high profile name "that guy owes me money"
Touch my desk "if any of you ***** touch my stuff...…...I ki ya"

The whole movie was good, but Dangerfield stole the show. One of my all-time favorites, for sure.

One of my favorite all time movies. I have a friend who was stationed on the base where Stripes was shot and he got to hang with Bill Murray some-said he was a great and funny guy who spent time with the guys on base.

Stripes was filmed in Louisville KY when I lived there. I remember them closing down streets and a bridge to film. (For those familiar, they closed the 2nd street bridge). I also recognize FT Knox throughout most of the movie.
Still, I've never been a huge Stripes fan.
