Happy or sad? VERY late to this game (Thursday 8/9/18) & I haven't needed my cane since. :) I've seen surgeons & OR staff wearing them for decades with much satisfaction. They spend long hours standing on hard floors with little moving around. The strap that CAN fold down over the back of the heel, hasn't rubbed me raw, YET. Cooler feet & NOT having to wear socks That are not only hot, but get sweaty/dirty fast in this heat & need to be changed multiple times a day, + a million. I can wear them in the pool, do some gardening, rinse them off with a hose, then go in the house WITHOUT removing them! Try that with boots/sneakers. NOT a safety work boot to be sure. I ran out & bought 2 more pairs. NO NOT a fashion statement, oh well, I won't make the cover of GQ this month. :( SO FAR SO GOOD. :)

Crocs says they aren't going out of business.

This is great news for all the folks who love to buy cheap merchandise not made in America, not to mention all fashion-conscious people everywhere.

Just bought my first pair about two weeks ago, love em’. I wash my cars while wearing them, work out in the yard, etc. Get a hose wash em down, no wet socks or Cons :).
I’m glad they’re still making em’, even though I probably will never need a new pair.....being “plastic” and all. :D

FUNNY HOW

Crocs make many orthopedic surgeons BMW payments. Not for me.

You know that many ortho surgeons & their car payments?
THEY WERE/ARE the shoe of choice for so many surgeons (including the ortho's), in the OR anyway. Off duty, I wouldn't know. "NOT FOR YOU!" I can hear the hearts breaking from here. :D

Just a small sample from the first page of the 2,700,000 returns from a Google search of "crocs dangerous . . ."

Crocs are bad for your health

Kinda like motorcycle riders, there are two kinds of people still wearing Crocs. Those who have gone down, and those who are going down . . .

LET'S TALK ABOUT SLIPS AND FALLS,

Cuz you know you don't got no cause, to be putting down the choice of foot wear. SURE some are more dangerous than others. A woman's tall stiletto heel won't win any prizes either. I'm not sure EXACTLY how many here the high heels would relate to. :D I've seen my share of slips/falls, & had to do fall risk assessments on individuals & homes. "MOST" I've seen/read about were a result of stepping in/on a "substance" from the proverbial banana peel/ throw rug with a turned up corner/ general clutter/ electrical cords/ poor lighting/ asst bodily fluids, & my favorite the individual butter packet. The choice of footwear was not "usually" #1. :)

Now that is none of your damned business. You've gone from preaching to meddling. :D

Well for the sake of those that like them I hope it's not true. I believe that we all should have the option to decide for ourselves. for me It is a non issue because I'm not ever going to buy them or wear them. I find them to be uncomfortable, a tripping hazard and uuuuuuglyyyyyyy. I'se a flip-flop guy. ;)
