Why do they have a drive thru at the Sonic????

It increases sales for them during their busy times (happy hours).
People have the tendency to pull in and if the stalls are fairly busy assume that service will be slow so they make the U and drive straight out. The window has proven to increase a locations sales by 15% or more.

Recent studies have shown it is to avoid parking next to the two idiots in the convertible. Ok, I lied about the study but the other part was spot on.

The two dweebs are always taking up the space.

Another vote for cheapskate - no tipper.
Also maybe a little faster than the park and order spots.
I hardly ever go to Sonic, but I drive around one when I go to Lowe’s.
For you non Sonic folks, you park and order into your own personal intercom - menu box.
Then the nice server brings you your food.
And if you still got that 1950s thing working, you sit there, eat your burger and check for Babes.
If you just came from the nearby Lowe’s with your gray hair sticking out from your cap, just bought primer and drywall screws -
You might as well just go through the drive through.
Your ‘ Babes’ are over at the Senior Center.

The two half-wits are actors who are paid well to recite the lines that are given them. I am sure they are very different in real life. If they are gun people, they just might be here reading what has been said about them.

Never been to a Sonic until I was down in Tenn. deer hunting a couple years ago. Seen the commercials on TV though.

Do know the owner of Sonic is a real classic car guy, and that the two "idiots" in the commercials are in a very expensive, fully restored 1969 Camaro the owner had built for just that reason to represent his chain. I'm a "car guy" too...

So, for pretty much just that reason, we stopped at one. The food was just OK.

"Gun people" isn't exactly the default setting for Hollyweird actors. ;)

Don't really care what they're like in real life. Their characters and those commercials are utterly annoying. Good thing I DVR everything & fast forward through commercials! :D

Haven't been there in years but the Sonic in Salina, Kansas was pretty darn good. ;)

Sonic was never all that bad when I was working down south. We actually looked forward to it now and then.

Fast forward to a few years back when Sonic came north to a city in my regular weekly travels. Got some food there one time and got food poisoning. :( Never went back after that.

There is something about southern chains moving north that doesn't always end well. :p

3 Sonic's opened in my area about 10 years ago. All are long closed now and were never very successful.
