They were out-fought, out-played, out-coached and demolished, 44-16. Great performance by Clemson, but not much of a game.

That kid Lawrence will bear watching. He played like a seasoned quarterback, not a true freshman.

Congratulations to the Clemson Tigers for playing an outstanding game .They truly deserved to be there and they deserve the title National Football Champions .That said .My beloved Tide got beat but they still at least played for the championship and like the ocean our tide might be low right now but we’ll be back .In Tuscaloosa Alabama Roll Tide isn’t just something we say it’s how we live .Sure there are ups and downs but we always come roaring back .Why because this is a city of winners we win that’s what we do .Now just like we dont celebrate our victories more that one day we don’t lick our wounds from a tiger pawing or feel sorry for ourselves more than one day either .I predict right now that next year we’ll compete against Clemson again and once again all you lesser fans of lesser teams will boohoo and make excuses .We are witnessing the beginning of the greatest rivalry in college sports history .The Tide and the Tigers Bowl aka college football championship.SEC verses ACC being a native of the Carolinas transplanted here I love it my ACC favorites I grew up with against my SEC favorites I have grown to admire and love .Who knows man if I could just get to see the Tide play Carolina in basketball for a championship my sports threesome fantasy would be complete so ROLL TIDE ROLL and thanks for the great season guys y’all my big dogs if ya don’t never win another fight .Also go Tigers thanks for a great tournament ! I made it to halftime before calling it a night. Looks like I didn't miss much. Was certainly an entertaining first half of football. The knock against Alabama all year was their defense, which was clearly never tested until last night. Time for college basketball. M I Z . . . !

I cleaned two ARs and my carry Glock while the wife watched the first half. (I'm a SC fan so I didn't really have anything to watch last night.) Then I went to bed during half time. I could hear her yelling and talking to the players through the wall. Her grandfather, father and all three brothers went to Clemson so I'll be hearing about this game for a long, long time. My wife got her masters degree at SC, go figure...

Anyway, congratulations to Clemson.

An odd thing about Alabama this year is that their second half offense wasn't as good as their first half offense. That was consistent through a number of games I watched.

There defense wasn't very good last night, but I think that their offense was even worse.

Most of all, Clemson had a better game plan and executed it very well. Stupid penalties hurt Alabama, but that was just frosting on the cake for Clemson.

Clemson was just better in every phase of the game.
