Taking stock of strange days: The week that America changed Good Article!
Taking stock of strange days: The week that America changed
Here is good piece written by Ted Anthony posted on AP News.
The picture struck me, as today I asked my Wife to cut my hair (she is pretty good) as I did not want to go the barbers, which looks much like the photo .
"It did not come all at once, though it came quite rapidly. As had happened in other lands, there was no explosion, no invasion other than a microscopic one that nobody could see. There was no fire, no flood, no famine. There were no barbarians at the gates.
Change came quietly in most towns and cities, because the change was one of withdrawal, a shutting of municipal and regional and national doors."
continued, Read they whole article.

A rather poignant article to be sure. And sobering. Will this become the new normal?

And today as a new week starts, we venture into the unknown future.
Will more shutdowns come?
Will we get sick? Or our loved ones?
Will the economy recover?
We are all in this together and individually. Let's try and do the best we can. I think all of us here on this forum have enough food and necessities to hunker down. We all have a bit of hoarder or prepper in us.
If possible help some others less fortunate.
(Is Jack Daniels still bottling whiskey?)

In order:
Will more shutdowns come? - Yep, guaranteed.
Will we get sick? Or our loved ones? - Maybe. Estimates are that we will not have community immunity until 60-70% of the population have either had COVID-19 or a vaccine for it.
Will the economy recover? - Eventually, but we are likely talking a minimum of a couple of years, not months.
