Indiana's Unclaimed Property website
Many of you may already be aware of this, but Indiana has a website that lists "unclaimed" property (cash) that is being held by the State in your name. You can search using your name, or a city or town to check for possibilities, and you can check for relatives, etc.

I think all the states probably have an unclaimed funds site.
I searched the one in NY for all of my immediate family and found a few hundred dollars for a neice.

I recovered over $4000 about 15 years ago on an insurance policy stock, where Metropolitan had done some shady maneuvering and I never know the $ were issued in my name.
