I recorded this movie a couple of days ago and watched it tonight.
Hannie Caulder (1971) starring Raquel Welch, Robert Culp, Ernest Borgine, Jack Elam and Strother Martin.
The story: The Clemments Bros (Elam, Martin and Borgnine) Kill Hannie's husband and rape her. Later Hannie enlists the aid of bounty hunter Thomas Luther Price (Culp) to teach her to shoot and she seeks revenge.
Its a surprising good western. Aside from the ever so hot Raquel, the movie features some really interesting guns.
Hannie uses an English self cocking Tranter revolver. Although in the movie its said to be a custom gun made by gunsmith Bailey (Chistopher Lee)
Price carries an Adams Revolver and a Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3
Emmett (Borgnine) carries a Remington 1875.
There's also the usual smattering of Colt SAAs and Winchester 1892s including a rare 14" Trapper Model used by Hannie's husband.
Oddly enough it seems that the Mexican Federales are armed with M1943 Mausers. Oh well, one mistake. No big deal
You can find them all on the Internet Movies Firearms database HERE

The movie is playing this month on the EPIX channels. Its worth a watch. If for nothing else just to see Raquel in her prime. :D

A better film than I thought it would be; worth seeing one time.

Saw it a number of years ago. That women had class as well as looking so fine.

It's a good flick. Have it in my DVD collection. It's Raquel against the unholy trio! Can she exact revenge against Strother Martin, Ernest Borgnine & Jack Elam?? Robert Culp is great as Luther Price, her mentor...a Bounty Hunter with brains.

I watched it a few months ago and thought it was one of the worst Westerns I've ever seen.

Basically you've got a murder/rape revenge story with the villains acting like the Three Stooges. Kinda hard to reconcile such a plot with bad comedy attached.
