Thanks folks for all the nice comments.
I appreciate your thoughts.
That was a long time ago. A different time.
I was a lot happier about the people I could keep out of jail than the ones I couldn't.

Two pensions and SS = tripledipper. I am more fortunate than many of my generation and definitely better off than those who just lost their ***** playing the stock market, directly or indirectly through 401k's, 457's, etc.

Back when I was a young and impressionable fellow, I saw the movie "Hackers". The main character's handle was "Zero Cool".
It was far too awkward to keep typing, so I shortened it up and appropriated it as ZerCool/zercool. Almost any place you see that on the forums, it's me.

Howdy,
My real name is Bob Ford, and I am supposedly the dirty little coward that shot Thomas Howard (Jesse James). After collecting the reward for the dastardly deed, Bob Ford ran to Creede, CO, where he was shotgunned 9 years later by one of the James Gang members. For Cowboy Action Shooting my alias is Creede Kid. My avitar is a picture of the genuine Bob Ford.

Mine came from my dad. He had a heavy Polish accent and his cure all was a shot and a beer. No matter what ailed you, he would say "hey have shot and beer, it make you feel better". This was the standard greeting when friends came over also. Apologies for getting a little long here.

Truck 'Em Up! to a trucker is kind of like Git 'Er Done! to a redneck. When Yahoo made me chose a screen name, they made me add at least one number. My truck is a 1997 model, so truckemup97 was born. I use it everywhere a screen name is required, and it's my e-mail, too.

Self-explanatory: I am a fan of all Smith & Wesson revolvers...
If I ever were to change that handle, it probably would be to something like Papa Bill, which is what my grandchildren call me.

Badger is the call sign my troops gave me when I was a major. A PITA Lt Col was harassing my guards who controlled the entry point to his complex. He would never return my calls or get me on his calendar so we could work it out and get him of my men's backs...so I told the guard not to open the gate when he came to work -- locked him out. I waited for his phone call. It came and he backed off my men.
One of my MSgts told me I was a badger. Whaddya mean? He said "damn sir, you're all smiles until some ********* kicks dirt in your hole." The name stuck.

Wickahoney is Piutte that supposedly means much or lots of water. It is a spring that has never stopped flowing that anybody knows of regardless of the drought and the high deert canyon associated with it about 20 miles east of the ranch. Flowing water is a pretty special thing in this country. I spent a LOT of time in and about both growing up.
It is also unique and unless you are from or closly associated with Owyhee County, Idaho it doesn't register with anybody. It is my "Name" everyplace on the web except the two places where my 1st Cousin stole it as a joke.
It was just something obscure I could remember and that nobody else was going to use.

My handle comes from a 1980s Forigner Rock-N-Roll song with the words
"He's Gonna Teach You A Lesson, Might Even Show You His Smith & Wesson.. HEADKNOCKER"
I don't usualy go around bashing in skulls

BoB The Palindrome--relatively self explanatory BoB or BoB.
Not so obvious is the thought behind the name. Origin is from a song done by Riders In The Sky (to the tune of Paladin)
Palindorme, Palindrome, what's in a name.
Palindrome, Palindrome, both ways the same........

"CAJUNLAWYER" is an old acadian word which translates loosely into "one who helps others for a fee and has a large member"

There's this "Zero Cool" too, a Hard Case Crime novel:
I read it a few months ago, not bad. (Not deep, heavy, but entertaining.)

I was an Army Medic and I took my job very seriously. So I practiced firing all of the individually served weapons such as the M-16, .45ACP semi-auto pistol, .38 Special revolver, and 12 gauge shotgun so that if we went to war I would be ready to protect and defend my patients. Grunts refer to corpsmen as "docs", and my call sign became "doctor doom". It was okay with me, but I didn't think it was a great morale booster for any of my potential patients. After much thought, it was modified to Double-0-Dave (a rip off on James Bond) as we both had a license to kill. My tagline now is "...no joke too corny, no pun too bad".
Regards,
Dave

The first gun board that I spent any significant time on was populated by a lot of folks who where well known in the gun world. They posted with their real names (Mas Ayoob, Charles Petty, etc.) so I did too.
That hasn't caused any problems so far. . .

I was, until recently, a sgt. with the Springdale Ohio PD. I chose to take a demotion to the rank of police officer for a variety of personal reasons, but I am proud of the 10 yrs I spent as a sergeant/shift supervisor, so I shall remain sargespd on the forums I frequent.
