Maybe you just don't pay attention. I've seen commercials for at least five different Chinese restaurants here in my town, and I turned the cable off and quit watching television over 20 years ago.

Don't forget,"Bloody Highway". I wish I could remember the ones I used the year I got tagged to do ALL of the pre-prom assemblies at all the schools in our area. Some were ok, some were really hokey and some were really graphic.

The two I mentioned were done by the Ohio State Patrol in the 50's. They were ghastly.

Yeah, where you live is a big factor.
Living in Seattle for 29 years, seeing ads for Asian restaurants was pretty common. Living in Spokane the last 10 years, not so much.
Seattle has a large Asian population. Spokane doesn't.
Personally, I absolutely LOVE Asian cuisines. Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Malaysian, I love it all.
Sad to say, but we've found it VERY hard to find decent Asian food of any variety here in Spokane. In the Seattle metro area, you can find a good Asian restaurant on every other street corner. But that isn't the case here in Spokane.
