Busy last week!
Last Sunday drove three hundred miles to Portland, Or. and was operated on the next morning at the Oregon Health Science University Hospital. I had a growth on my esophagus that biopsy showed as cancer. Fortunately, doctor said it was gone, so much for that problem. We drove home that night, then on Friday morning I drove to Kellog, Id. and bought a new pickup, 2500 RAM and drove home Saturday, a bit over 1200 miles round trip. Had blood drawn today and an MRI tomorrow. Then over to Medford, Or. (100 miles) for new eye glasses, as I fell last Thursday and scratched mine. Just never and end to all this. I am getting pooped.

Sounds like you have been a busy boy. When I lived in Oregon I didn't put over 7,500 miles a year on my truck. And we saw most of the state.

Being from Or., it sounds like you need to wet a line, go get a clam or two
and sit back with one of your State's famous, ice cold, mini brews.
Get well soon.

Nevada Ed, I would love to go wet a line, but afraid I might choke in all the forest fire smoke we have. I would think you might be getting some with the fires north of you. It was smokey from here all the way to Idaho and back the other day. Positive thing, my MRI came out negative today, so one more chore out of the way. Tomorrow, the blood test for follow up on prostate cancer operation last year. Postponed the eye glasses, have an eye doctor appointment on Thursday, then the eye glasses. Never ending. Thanks for all the well wishes.

What a week. Sounds like you are getting along pretty good even with all the medical issues you had to deal with. Glad all is working out. It is kinda fun to take a new ride on a little road trip though.

Here in Reno, we feel like Custer !!
Fires to the North of us....
fires to the West of us......
and fires to the South of us........
with ashes falling out of the sky. to let you know that they are close by.
Went from 96 to 78 degrees on Wenesday... weird weather but they state that
we may see blue skys soon with the north winds coming down from your state.
Just hope the fires & smoke don't put a damper ot this years Air Races.
Stay healthy , everyone.
