That gator was one unhappy camper!

yup this video went viral.
Im not convinced that it was a great idea, however put in a similar situation, Id probably try this as well.

Fl folks can comment on this , but I dont think that the you can shoot a gator unless you are properly licensed. gator meat is delicious and im sure that hide is worth a few $$.

BTW - the guy released the gator into a nearby swamp / lake whatever

Florida Wildlife officers are quick to come out and remove these pesky guys. The problem is most communities were built with oolite rock that is dug up on site and the resulting rock pit becomes a "lake". These lakes are perfect spots for gators and an opportunity to feast on lakefront homes with dogs. Trapping a gator unless you know what you're doing is plenty foolish!

When we lived in a rural area we had horses, dogs, cats, geese, pigs, and ducks (all pets). Also a small lake. Gators (especilly) during mating season) was a constant problem. I solved this problem by giving my #4 son a USGI Carbine with ammo. Gators came onto the property but did not leave.

The wildlife dudes are really good around here. There's a good size lake in the back of my little subdivision that connects to the canal, that had about a 12 foot male gator in it. They came out to try and get him, but had better luck removing a bunch of smaller female gators. They said with all the girls gone, the male would look for a better place to hang out.

I will second the huevos and give reference to a “clank.”

What I loved was that this guy had a total game face on the whole time, he was intense and driven and after he dropped the lid and had the advantage, no celebration, he stuck to the task and wheeled him down toward the water.

Then the pay off, he dumped over the can and did the 100 yard dash in the opposite direction :D :D that was hilarious!

Hell yeah to this guy. Maybe a totally crazy decision but I hope he gets to squeeze some kind of payoff for this, he earned it.
