Default Any John Fogerty Fans?

I've been pretty nuts about him since around 1969. Saw his concert last night. He's very happy about getting the rights to his songs back and he played all of his hits, plus some.

Partial set list:

Bad Moon Rising

Up Around the Bend

Green River

Born on the Bayou

Who'll Stop the Rain

Keep on Chooglin' (hello Snubby)

Have You Ever Seen the Rain

Fortunate Son
Down on the Corner

Travelin' Band

Proud Mary

It was GREAT! Great sound, great performances. His two sons play with him and his wife is with him on the tour. He did "You Are the Joy of My Life" which he wrote for her.

Introduced by Hardy Har, which has his sons in it and George Thorogood, who put on a really good show.

"Who'll Stop the Rain" was BEAUTIFUL!

PS: He introduced 'Down on the Corner' with plenty of cowbell. We got the joke before he let on.

The first band I ever really got into was Creedence when I was around 10 years old. Still a fan and have seen John 2 or 3 times within the last 20 years and always had a great time. John is one of the great ones as far as I'm concerned.

...yeah, he is THAT great. The music business can be awful. It took 50 years to get the rights to his own songs. When I hear 'music business' the first thing I think of is John Fogerty and the group 'Badfinger'. Those poor guys got screwed over so bad that one of them commit suicide and another had a brain aneurysm.

Fogerty hasn't changed much in, well, decades. Looks, plays and sounds the same as he did in the 60s. Not many rockers can make that claim. He's quite the showman. And what a great guitar collection!

I’ve been a fan since I was a little kid. My dad liked CCR and would play the 8 track in the truck on the way to the lake all the time and we kids would all sing along… Good memories.

I never saw CCR, but saw him in concert years ago, he puts on a great show! Excellent guitar player, and his band was very good, as well. The concert was in the late 90s.

Like the others who've posted, I've been a big fan since I was a
senior in high school in 1969/70.

Rock on.

I was a fan of CCR all the way back to my Hollywood days. And in college, when I was learning to play guitar, I liked CCR tunes. They were comparatively easy to learn.

At the opposite end of the guitar learning spectrum, I saw Tommy Emmanuel in concert. That's when I decided "what's the use?" and almost gave all my guitar equipment to charity.

Way back.....Proud Mary was-is a favorite....When it came on the 8 track. I'd throw that Hurst shifter up into second in my 55 Chevy and nailed it. With that 283 wound up and Proud Mary blaring the speakers.....Life was GOOD!

Saw him in concert on the Eye of the Zombie tour. I believe UB40 opened for him. Fogerty was a great show. High energy and I was in the third row. Unfortunately, after the show, my date got sick and puked on her boots in the parking lot. Evening kinda went downhill from there.

You convinced me. If he comes to the American Music Theater in Lancaster I'm going. Did he do this one?

How could you forget Lodi? I remember a sawdust floor mixed with tons of peanut shells at a bar in Houghton Michigan. Oddly enough it was called The Library, opened by a dropout from Michigan Tech University. The most popular song in the jukebox was Lodi. As it played, all the Tech students would sing along until the chorus when we all sang "Stuck in Houghton again".

The bar was a great cover since when my parents would ask where I was, I would simply say the Library without hesitation!

I'm a John Fogerty fan from way back.
I got the Pendulum album when I was 8 years old and literally wore it out.

..The screen behind him had footage from the protests in those days. Most all of his songs made me feel good. That one brought back bad memories.

What was cool though was the old baseball footage they showed behind 'Centerfield'.

...it was chockfull of hits, one after the other. We had a setlist from his previous concert and he does throw in some extras. He said he'd never been in Charleston, SC before (?? I know we were a backwater since all good bands went to Columbia, Charlotte or Atlanta.) We have more good venues and more population for bands to come here now.

Back during SEA - the Asian bands would sing CCR songs.
And they problems with those R’s.
So it came out -
Lolling, lolling , lolling on the liver.
My personal fav - There is a Bad Moon Arising.
I should add - I am a Fortunate Son.

My mom introduced me to CCR, along with Sam Cook, and Elton John in 1976. Still love 'em all...

CCR was a big part of my teenage years. Sometimes I wonder how I survived.

Huge CCR fan here. As a very young boy, my first record was a 45 with Down on the Corner on side A and Fortunate Son on side B. Left the arm up on my record player so it played over and over and over and…
