Any fans of this show that ran 1996-2001?
Well Don Johnson has made a reboot movie that will air on the USA Network on Nov. 27. Cheech Marin Is also back as his partner Joe Dominguez. They say if the movie goes well, there might be more in the future.
I remember the show and liked it a lot. One thing that always stood out for me was that Nash carried a 1911 in .38 Super. I think this is what first got me interested in the cartridge. I now have 4 of 'em. :D
Anyway, it was a good show back then. I hope the movies does it justice.
BTW: the Cuda is back too. ;)

I liked it a lot too. Cool car, cool gun & just entertaining as hell. Glad it’s back.

The gun was designed by
Jim Zubiena who worked
with Don Johnson on "Miami
Vice." Zubiena is famous
for the demonstration of
the Mozambique on
"Miami Vice" and supposedly
it was incorporated into
police training films. Lesson:
Don't let your attention be
diverted for even a split
second.

One can Google the film
clip of Zubiena in "Miami
Vice."

Check IMFDB for details
on the Nash Bridges gun.

Thanks for the heads up! I enjoyed Miami Vice and Nash Bridges.

I watched the trailer this morning... seems Old Nash's new pistol is sporting a MRDS... aging eyes are getting to us all.. :)

and the Cuda is my second favorite movie convertible right after the Daytona.

Miami Vice was his best role, Nash Bridges was not near as phenomenal.

As I lived in the S.F. Bay Area at the time, I watched and enjoyed the show.

Genie had a girlfriend who was a “fill in cast member,” she shared some interesting behind the scenes with us. Do any of you remember Don Johns vests? They were not a fashion statement, they were to hold John’s protruding stomach in:eek:.

Was no longer a hungry actor, better pay, better chow!

I also never watched back in the day, but do now, even tho I have to puke when the guy with the red beret shows up, and the yellow vest on Don. I appreciate the Cheech and Chong guy, and especially Yasmine Bleeth. I have been hoping a long time for a come back Of Magnum PI. The dialogue between Magnum and Higgins was art work.

It appears that more time has passed since I last watched TV regularly than I might have thought.

I knew Don Johnson slightly in high school, and I didn't pay much attention to him then either. I'm happy that his career has gone well.

It is back. The Juliette Higgins character in the new Magnum PI is easier to look at than the old Higgins. The Lads are still in play. And of course the red Ferrari is a main player. The new Magnum is NOT the Tom Selleck Magnum. Magnum and Higgins are partners now. It is watchable but seems to be aimed more at a younger demographic.

Of course it is aimed at the younger demographic........anyone is usually younger than we are!

I watched it. Totally unrealistic, humorous, but not ridiculously funny, interesting plot. Basically, it was much like the original series, but 2 hours and the two leading actors are way too old to be cops. I'd watch another 2 hour tv episode if they decide to do one as it was entertaining.

I tried to watch it all but gave up.
Kind of like watching someone my age and stamina trying to be a top cop.
Just didn’t work for me.
