Ever get an "ear worm"?

I recently had an old song stuck in my head, "When The Roses Bloom in Dixieland." A nice old 1920's or something song that The Blue Sky Boys wrote. I heard the Kruger Brother's guest sing it, and then found it on the Blue Sky Boys CD's that I have. I was trying to learn it, and it got stuck in between my ears. I couldn't get the 2nd verse right and have about quit trying to do it.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

Mine are almost always songs I've hated for decades and I hear one of them in my car while busy driving and don't immediately change the station. The last one is "American Pie". I totally have hated it since it came out. They played it on the PA system every single day at lunchtime at my school. Don McLean is a "Dive for the presets" artist to me. I would rather listen to just static than listen to a single note of one of his songs.
Rod Stewart is another. "Maggie May" was usually played right after "American Pie" at lunch. And now "AP" is going in my head...

You can't hate it any worse than I!

It's usually one of the country music songs my wife listens to and I am not a fan of country music so that makes it even worse.

"MacArthur Park" Richard Harris, followed closely By "American Pie" Don McLean. I pray some day, before I die, my brain will be cleansed of those two.

What's infinitely worse is when you're playing a gig and someone requests one of your most hated—if I ever have to play that again I'll ND myself—songs.

That's why every band needs a ... tips for tunes jar....with flashing lights activated when necessary so they can find it. :D

Some grade school kids can make a flute sound as it should.

Inna Godawful Divider ..... was a tune, along with Creedence, that haunted the barracks at Castle AFB in the late '60s.
Occasionally those with stereos played music. :D
