Here is my latest view. It never gets old!

Even the pups like it.

Being that you're located in the NE Ohio 'Lake Erie snowbelt' area, surprised to see not much snow depth.

On the lake in the Laurel Highlands of Pa this weekend......lake is partially frozen over 24 degrees; with the Bald Eagle soaring overhead!

Back in the 30-50 degree range this coming week

Denny,

I had to drive to the Eastside of Cleveland yesterday. You folks over there had a bit more snow then we did. The winds were wrong for us to get much. Now, a NW breeze across Huron and Erie can give us several feet overnight but an Easterly or even a NE breeze, not so much.

I had 'nothing' at home, barely covering the grass. Went to Broadview Hts, a southern suburb of Cleveland, and the further south I went the snow cover got deeper.

This morning around 9:30 I had to go into town.

The snow started at 3:06am and I had 8" covering the 4x4 when I went out with a broom, to clear it off a little.

Even with four wheel drive, I could break traction if I hit the gas or turned the wheel too fast. It was a gas in the parking lots but I only did a little "Out of controll" so not to scare the people around me.

Coming home a delivery truck with 4 tires in the back, was sliding all over the place and I stayed way back and let him do his best to get down the roads in town.
His sliding got so bad, the drived finally turned on the "Caution blinkers".
I noticed that he was not chained up.

I will attack a hot cup of chocolate, soon.

Stay safe & warm.

A little change has been made.

So our view has also changed.

Looking West.

Looking North.

Looking East.

And here is looking South, at the new porch.

At some point we will screen it, or an Amish crew will, or maybe the West wall will be a wall of double hung windows to block weather when necessary but allow a breeze when we want it.

Thank you!

It sits well. We take our morning coffee and often our evening meal there. Now, with the roof, we can enjoy it when it rains. Doubly so as the raindrops on the metal roof are wonderful music.

It has been a while since I updated this thread.

Todays view,

We are on a business trip. This is a house we rent in Fox Lake, Illinois on Pistakee Lake.
