My dad has a mid-50's Weaver B4 scope that is a little cloudy or foggy. The rest of the scope is in great shape.

Does anyone know if there are two separate pieces of glass in the eye piece lens? My dad tried to clean the inside and outside of the lense, and the cloudiness seems to be inside the glass.

Do you guys know of anyone that specializes in the old Weavers that can provide some advice for clearing up the sight picture? Is there anyone that refurbishes these old ones?

Thanks for your help.

You can try these guys

http://www.abousainc.com/

This guy used to work at Weaver (El Paso) and may still be in the scope fixing business, he may be worth contacting.

Even better, just go into this thread and there is a list of scope repair facilities and people.

+1 BobR.

Sent a K-6 and K-12 to these folks for repair. Top notch service and reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

What you're probably seeing is lens separation.

I had a 2 power stainless El Paso weaver pistol scope that had a loose part in the eyepiece. I googled "el paso weaver scope repair" and got a guys phone# in El Paso called him and sent it to him he fixed it reasonably and said not to put it back on the 657 as it would not take the strain.
