Need some hook over the belt suspenders. Should I be looking at any brand other than Perry? What have been your experiences with them? My problem is my butt decided it wanted to be in the front of the house instead of the back so I'm flat in the rear and stick out in the front. I'm sure some of you can relate. Anyway, if I put anything in my pockets that weighs more than hope, or god forbid, actually strap on a holster, I'm constantly tugging my pants up like Barney Fife going through cocaine withdrawals. If I cinch up a belt enough to hold I can't breathe very well. Or bend. When you have to loosen your belt to tie your shoes, that's when you know it's too tight. Hoping to be able to back off to the regular notch on the belt if I give it a little support. What say Ye?

I have 3 pairs. the all elastic ones can be worn without a shirt under them. The nylon with elastic are the best over some kind of shirt. They are durable and the only real way you need more is for different colors.

No experience with galluses but my trunk has also morphed into a hatchback. I am considering putting Play-Doh in my back pockets as prosthetic buns.

I routinely pocket carry a mouse gun.

My sweatpants and PJ bottoms have stout draw strings so I can adjust them depending on payload.

That's one of the problems. I find myself carrying smaller and smaller guns. I'd like to feel comfortable, or somewhat comfortable at least, strapping on a full size 1911 or a 4" N frame. Sometimes you want the big bores.

I have been wearing suspenders for close to 35 years. All elastic and plastic suspenders are very comfortable if not needing to support any weight. And great for keeping your pants up going through airports. My go to suspenders that have a minimum of stretch in the back and heavy duty toothed clamps that clamp securely onto a leather belt. Combined with a balanced relationship with the tightness of the belt, carrying a 5 in 1911 with 2 off mags is very doable with heavier shirt. Yes you need at least an undershirt under them. The elastic quickly stretches out, and am not caring what it does to the belt. Currently dress up summer attire includes the suspenders over a all cotton t-shirt and under a lightweight cotton overshirt un tucked. Very comfortable with an officer's 1911 and off side mag, and the arrangement is effectively concealed. Not pretend concealed, but full outstretched arm/lower shelf reach concealed.

Non dress up is overalls with g23 in front pocket and extended mag in top chest pocket, but the weight is born similarly to suspenders.

I can recommend the Perry suspenders from Duluth Trading Comapny.....do just want needs to be done

I used the Perry suspenders and they did the job. They will stretch over time. I have switched to bib overalls for most casual wear. Pockets are big enough to carry. Nice not to have a belt cinched around your gut.

I've used Perry's suspenders for years now, and they work and work well. I understand they are the norm for the Secret Service protective detail officers, what more do you need to know?
I do though have one issue with Perry's company. If you order directly from them you will be bombarded with Email from them for months.

I've been wearing them for years. I got tired of pulling my jeans up all day. I have no butt and tightening my belt hurt my hips. The Perry suspenders do stretch and the plastic buckle lose their grip over time, but I've found a solution for that problem. Putting safety pins behind the buckles will let you wear these suspenders for years.

I've only worn them once in my life, under my tux for wedding #3. I've been slowly losing weight and I'm down 2 waist sizes in my pants and belts. I'm pretty sure my posterior has disappeared...along with my hair and my will to do anything. If I could grow a beard, I suppose suspenders and the gray beard will match.

Only problem I’ve had with mine is if the belt can roll over in the belt loops they disconnect.
May be just an old belt.

You could do what a friend of mine did. He had a plastic surgeon do butt implants. Said he got tired of trying to keep his pants up.
