NY Safe Act 2.0 goes into effect this Wednesday. Now you need to do a NICS check to buy ANY ammo.

By the looks of it, the local gunshow was selling out of ammo real quick. The bad news is that the dealers inflated the prices.

For example, bricks of $26.00 Wallyworld rimfire were seen as high as $45.

I DO understand the paranoia and the need to stock up so the govmt does not know you have ammo, but the dealers should be chastised for screwing the brethren.

Looks like a day off is needed to drive to all of the 7 Wallyworlds in the local 4 counties to buy the limit in every store. Gotta do it before the 13th.

(thank God I reload everything except rimfire.)

Why drive? Thank goodness for the Internet and Credit Card.

Yeah, set up the old Plymouth Fury with the moonshiners’ suspension across the rear axle and cruise down to Erie and Ohio and load up, so to speak. Get a CB and play Smokey & The Bandit with ammo instead of alcohol.

Buying ammo out of state is not the problem. Having it shipped to NY requires an FFL. NY is also now charging $3 for ammo NICS ck and $9 for firearm NICS ck. These were free. The kicker is they are simply being the go between and still using Feds NICS ck.

Jim, I passed on the show this weekend because I knew what it would be. I was in the area yesterday and stopped at Cabelas. Ammo was going fast. One guy thought he won the lottery when he got the last box of .41Mag. I don’t know what brand it was. All the ammo retailers were starting to have pretty full shelves. Now we’re back to square one. Hoarding and no inventory with hunting season here

Nobody seems to know that answer DWalt. As the law reads it should not. But……….. it’s NY

I’m still trying to figure out why I can drive my car anywhere in the USA with my PA driver’s license but my concealed carry permit from my county sheriff office is useless in many other states. I’ve demolished a few of my cars and at least one utility pole, not all my fault, but a vehicle can cause a heck of a lot of damage and death. It’s happened when some psycho decides to crash into a crowd of people but, well, it’s the same old song we all heard before.

This is a legit screen shot I did back around 2020 off the AmmoSeek.com. website.

I hope nobody was desperate enough to buy any.

Click the image and it will get big.

Respectfully, there is no privacy anymore. With a few clicks of a mouse almost anybody can learn almost anything about you, including the government. Unless you use only cash to make purchases, your bank and credit card issuers likely know more about you than your spouse...
