Indescribably tasty. Ruthie makes hers with Duke's. My youngest makes hers with Miracle Whip.
Flip a coin. Either way I win.

My home made chili with cheese and Walla Walla onions on top. Washed down with Modello, what a great beer.

I didn't take a pic, but I made something new last night. I had some leftover pulled pork and I was sick of sandwiches. Turned out real well. Sort of a Southern BBQ Shepherd's Pie. I didn't have a green pepper, so I used the little sweet peppers I had. I didn't have a Corn Bread Mix so I just made my scratch Cornbread. I had some of that canned "Southwest" corn instead of the frozen, and I threw some jalapeno slices on top of the batter.

Chicken, Yukon Golds, onions and cheese. Ruthie pours a mix of butter, avocado oil and a packet of Italian salad dressing mix on it and bakes it until my olfactory system surrenders.

Cherrywood smoked pork loin (the other half from the one a few weeks ago), wife’s secret Latin spice rub, Mediterranean fresh green bean salad and brown sugar, pecan meringue cookie bar for dessert.

I would be plumb ashamed to post pics of the hospital fare these last two nights.
They have me on the heart healthy/flavor free diet.

Hoping one good poop will help make things right.
Meanwhile, slow cooker chuck tender braised with diced tomatoes over risotto.

Back when I was in for my heart attack the 'heart healthy' diet where I was did not disappoint. I took full advantage of salmon being on the menu. The sides were not bad either, and I am a sucker for sugar free chocolate pudding. Keep some in my pantry at home all the time.

during my many long hospital stays I mastered the menu manipulation... grilled chicken, oriental veggies rice then used sweet & sour dipping sauce to make "stir fry"... nurses thought I ordered take-out.. lol
look at the menu as ingredients...

Rusty - love seeing what’s for dinner……..but always have two issues with the pics: one is the hot sauce you like (seeing my ex’s first name on the label makes me COLD not HOT!) and the silver bullet that my body immediately turns into methane. Other than that keep ‘‘em coming.

Be PROUD of that Coors Light, Rusty! I like it too. Now if you were drinking Bud Light, you’d DEFINITELY have to tape over it!!👍

May not eat dinner tonight. Was out and about running errands and stopped by Pappasitos for Tex-Mex. Really like their large beef tacos, so I got the taco dinner and added a cheese enchilada. Ate too much.

Crossing my fingers.
MsNative sliced an eye round roast 3/4 inch thick and requests same be grilled for tonight's supper. Heavily seasoned and Italian herb mix to boot I'm figuring very tasty shoe leather. I have nine chances not to foul up.
Hot and fast is all I can think of.

Fresh from the garden stuffed giant Zucchini and cherry tomato & Basil salad . We’ve been eating so many veggies out of the garden that I think that I’m developing a cotton tail.

a noon snack with "Tex" with some home made, smoked Kokanee Salmon Dip with crackers,
as we talked about what was new and how the new job is doing.
We are enjoying the time together, for the two days here, with nice weather.
Life is good.
