Last night my wife did her magic with here secret dressing on her Cole slaw
and also let me sample her award wining baked beans.
while I was allowed to add a little side dish, to the plate.
Summer is here in Nevada and the grills are starting to do their thing.

I should have mentioned my wife makes a concoction of Ketchup, Duke's mayo, pickle relish and sriracha that goes well with dam near anything.

As good as leftover grilled (esp. pork) tastes I guarantee those ribs did not survive the first night.

Just ordered Luby's fried fish for Mom along with some fried chicken fingers from a different place just down the road. Since Mom only does finger food, as she can't maneuver forks and such any more, I get to eat the green beans, mashed potatoes with cream gravy, and mac-n-cheese that come with hers for dinner.

It’s Bingo night for the girls so it’s my junk food night for me.
Double grilled Coneys on a soft deli bun & sides. All washed down with an Amber Ale .

PB&J sandwich with a bowl of Vaquero soup. I get a lot of soup mixes from a place called All of Us Old Plantation Soup and Dip online. The Aunt Hattie's vegetable beef, Vaquero and Chicken noodle are all good mixes. I have not tried them all.
For the Vaquero soup I add a pound of lean browned hamburger, a pound of chicken breast diced, a bottle of Pace medium picante sauce and a half cup of wild rice. It makes about 5 or 6 quarts depending on how thick you like your soup.

We had this about a week ago and I just discovered that the Mrs had snapped a photo of her plate. I was too busy eating...
The tenderloin was marked down at Kroger, Costco mushrooms and Brussel sprouts and we split a large baked potato. The chive flowers were out of our garden.

Yesterday may lovely wife went for a short hike up the canyon behind the house and picked some fresh morel mushrooms. I grilled Lamb Loin chops, made mash potatoes and some Morel Brown Gravy.

My homemade meatloaf and a banana. I need to use a fattier ground beef next time. I used some of my 98% that I put in my soups and almost overcooked it.

Unfortunately no photos, but tonight’s feast consisted of grilled and seasoned black angus butter burgers (3 minutes per side at 400-450 degrees), topped with crispy prosciutto, slices of sweet onion and heirloom tomato with side of sliced kosher dill pickles.
It was glorious!

Baked potato with grilled chicken, french fried onions, fiesta blend cheese and some Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. I may have put a bit too much butter on it finishing that stick.
