Happy 100th Birthday!
Happy 100th birthday to THE greatest country singer/song writer of all time (Jimmy Rogers is a close second). Hiram 'Hank' Williams. (aka: Luke the Drifter).

Dad throughly enjoyed Hank's music. He was his peer during my Dad's time in the Korean War.
The local AM radio station played only Hank Williams music every New Years Day when I was a lad.
Hank's music was hugely popular and I can't think of any other genre that more defines a particular culture and generation.

He died at 29 years of age. Try to imagine all the great music we don't have that we would have if he'd lived another 50 years....
