For three years I have been on the hunt for a BBQ sauce that was out of this world.

I finally sent the company a e-mail asking what stores in my area stock this item.

I have been unable to find it any more.

If any of you have tried it, you know how good it taste and might
buy more of it.

The other day I finally got a reply from the company and it stated that they have

discontinued it.

Bummer.

We love Peter Luger's Steak Sauce which is also a GREAT BBQ sauce.

Sweet Baby Ray’s for me!

Me, too. Sweet Baby Ray's is made in Chicago, and has a cheeky set of Chicago-style instructions for its users:

I like my meat to taste like meat, not candy. Years ago, I was at a large cookout that had some smoky flavored sauce. It was the best ever, but I wasn't able to find out what kind it was there, and have never found it since. Any ideas?

I don't bbq anything, and never have, so I have no knowledge of the different sauce brands and varieties available. But on the local supermarket shelves, there must be at least 25-30, from major brand names and others you never heard of, and that is not the slightest exaggeration. Texas is very big on bbq. I don't know how you would find out which was the best choice.

I understand your frustration. MBH and I loved Pat's Ho Made BBQ sauce and we can't find it anywhere. Made right here in the free state of Florida.

You can't throw a lawn dart around here without hitting a BBQ joint. All use their own sauces and all are delicious. Both my daughters make their own tasty sauces.

At home we use either Sweet Baby Ray's or Montgomery Inn barbecue sauce.

You can find good BBQ in every whistle stop in this country. Map coordinates have little to do with good eatin'.

wait...you live in South Texas and you don't bar b que???? I'm throwing the flag on that one!!! I live in South Louisiand and I bar b que for ctyin' out loud.
Remember that bar b que means drinking. We do a boucherie and that takes pretty much the first half of the weekend. . It does include the outdoor cooking of pork and pork products and the occasional spring lamb bought at the 4 H club auctions. Note to self (and others), chocolate dipped gratons are not good.

We might have good BBQ here, but I wouldn't know. You have to have had certified good BBQ to compare. I know what sucks and what is good to me around here, but since I may never have had the quality of BBQ you are used to my good may be your inedible.

I have eaten chocolate covered, crickets, grasshoppers and ants. I love cracklins and pork rinds so much that picturing them drenched in chocolate is not entirely unappealing.

Especially if imbibement is involved.
