Back in the seventies, I had favorites due to taste. Job titles and testing had me to quit. I'll be right there with you guys if they would just make it legal. It was much easier on the head than a few good drinks. Those were maybe the golden years for Cubans.

I haven't smoked for many years. However I used to smoke like a chimney.
I got up to 3 packs a day and decided I needed to cut down. I thought to try cigars. I picked on Rum Soaked Crooks because they tasted and smelled so good. After a month or so I was smoking so many cigars that I went back to cigarettes.

Although I haven't smoked for at least 30+ years I suspect that if I smoked one Rum Soaked Crook I be right back smoking again.

I was on a Tiger Cruise on the USS Nimitz meeting up with my son. He was coming back from deployment in the Mid East. I flew to Hawaii and got aboard. I always brought a box or 2 of cigars with me to give to my son. We would go the smoking area and a few pilots would hear he was there and come to smoke. I heard a lot stories about some of their missions in the sky over there. It was a very unique time to spend with him at sea. God Bless The U.S. Navy

Yes, the Lusitania is a very good cigar with a perfect burn.

Non Cuban cigars I enjoy on a regular basis are:

Arturo Fuente - Double Chateau - Natural
Romeo & Julietta Toro Reserve
Punch Gran Cru
Oliva - 135thc Anniversary Serie V
CAO Gold - Corona Gorda
Padrone Anniversary 1964 - Imperial - Natural
Padron 7000

There are also a few others I buy on a regular basis when on sale. I do like the Aston line (by Fuente) but they are expensive if not on special. Once in a blue moon they do go on sale. For the most part I lost my taste for Macanudo's (since they moved) but sometimes they do have a flavorful model.

I tend to like at least a 6" - 7" x 52-54 ring gauge cigar and try and smoke them only when I have the time to enjoy. I usually won't "rush" a cigar - not fun! I am not a fan of thin and smaller gauge cigars as they burn hotter and smoke quick.

I'm affraid those days are over for me unless I travel abroad Snubby, the price for one now is ~$100 a stick, that's nuck'n fut's! Thank God we've discovered some great, complex non-cubans finally.

Just had a Padron Ltd 10th yr anvrsy. tonight as a matter of fact, chief. Very mild and creamy with some sweet spice, I liked it.

You guys are too rich for me. I don't smoke much at all now but I've smoked many, many, many cheap and moderately priced cigars. Almost all long filler. Never liked the little flakes in my mouth. I've also chewed a ton of them. Also chewed a bunch of plain chew. Havana Blossom brand was a favorite. Havana Florida maybe! Plain twists can be good if you can find them. If I had a $200 cigar I'd want to sell it.
