I'll be there Sunday morning, with my tall son, barring any last minute conflicts.

Was there from noon to 1:30, to me it was very crowded but then Sundays are my gun show day so I'm not accustomed to the Saturday crowds.
Socialized with 'dant', then walked the three buildings. Saw many overpriced 686s', 586 nickels', 66s'.
Might go back tomorrow.
Found out the Warren show (its' building) is on temporary hiatus. They're putting in a new floor and asbestos abatement in the ceiling, so it'll be back.

Went back today, was there 10 to 12:30, big crowd for a Sunday. Socialized with 'dant', talked to Larry in the middle building, saw a 'buncher' in the west building.
Was looking at all small S&W 38sp 'Js'.
No Larry, I did not buy that little nickeled one.

I was there from around 1000-1230-ish. Saw a couple wish list items (mainly a 1076 and a couple old Berettas). Can't wait to meet y'all.

Found this so I decided to bump it. Everyone have a good Easter? We had 18 colored eggs from the grandkids down to about 11. I’m gonna start looking like an egg. Larry

No local shows this weekend.
Of national interest is the Tulsa show, I know a few NE Ohio 'bunchers' that have been to it.
Next weekend is Medina and Yankee Lake.
With Mondays total eclipse for our area, get out and experience it, hope we have clear skies. I'm ready, got solar eclipse filters for the telescope, spotting scope, & binoculars, but the weather could make terrible viewing conditions.

I plan on attending Medina...not sure what day yet, depends on my son's schedule.
Maybe I can actually meet a Buncher...they are an elusive bunch, but I hear they actually exist.

The local and national tv stations will be full of pictures & videos, there will be nothing special about mine, if I even take pics. The 'event' is meant to be experienced and appreciated. For those that experience 'totality' and are at a place where the horizons are visible, all the horizons (North,South,East,&West) will appear as sunrise/sunset.

A little technical stat, when the 'umbra' (totality shadow) is in our area, northern Ohio, the shadow will be traveling across the surface of the earth at 2100 miles per hour/3080 feet per second, equivalent to the muzzle velocity of a centerfire rifle.
And we'll have totality for just under 4 minutes.

I'm ready, weather permitting/co-operating.
On the left, my 4.5" f/4 RFT (rich field telescope-homemade built in the 70s') with 6" solar filter, far back right-20-60X spotting scope, up front right- 10-30X binoculars with slip on filters, and an assortment of filters for cameras.

Your correct Denny, there will be pictures all over the news. They won’t post anything here though!!! Share a couple pics with us. Your definitely are ready for tomorrow.
The rain is almost in Toledo right now but well into Indiana according to the channel 8 app on the phone. Supposed to quit raining at 9am ish so we have 5 hours to clear the skies. Will be interesting.
Going to Avon around noon to one of the boys house, having a little get-to-gether with some finger foods to snack on. Hope the roads clear by 6-7 pm, Larry

From the stuff I had laid out on the table, I did a test run yesterday for viewing with filters. Only item usable was the 10-30 binoculars at lowest 10X. The telescope and spotting scope too big and/or too powerful for a steady image. I'm currently testing lenses/settings with cameras.

for our area, start of the moon sliding over the sun starts about 2 o'clock. Got the outdoor lounge chair setup with forward legs propped up to give a comfortable viewing/working position.

That was pretty cool, won’t be here for the next one. Daughter in law had Alexa play “total eclipse of the heart” during totality. Can’t wait to see the pics Denny took. OK day, Larry

The best one. Nikon D3300 24 megapixel camera, manual controlled exposure, 1/500 shutter speed, ISO 3200, Vivitar 300mm @ F5.6 lens ( a lens leftover from my Nikon 35mm film cameras).
Unedited original camera digital image. Satisfied with being able to capture the outer atmosphere Corona. Some of the prominences also captured.
Wasn't able to get 'baileys beads' and 'diamond ring', those things happened too quickly and briefly.

Nothing, I've never fertilized. Nature does a good job, moisture in the ground, sunshine, and the carbon dioxide in the air we breathe.
With the last bunch so early, March 2, I couldn't offer any plants as they didn't begin to emerge at that time.

Rained like hell for a while but all we got was a wet lawn to cut again soon. Kinda like liquid plant food.
Looking forward to Saturday, not sure what time I will get there. Trying to sell a HS Derringer in 22 lr. Just mentioned it to the wife about what time I have to be at Marymount and she said there was a soccer game in Avon so not sure when I will go. Maybe Sunday, Larry

Went today, was there from 11 to 1, good crowd, cold ambient temp. Said 'hi' to 'dant'. Did quite a bit of socializing with known tables.
Looked at many S&W revolvers, 60s', 686s', 66s', and any that were nickeled.
Anticipate going back tomorrow about 11.
Definitely too many S&W pre-lock revolvers to look at. Much talk from the tables about the upcoming potential 'doom and gloom' due to new regulations. Bring them out and sell them as they might not be able to sell in the future.
There was one table that had five New old stock 5906s' 3rd gens pistols. Very unusual to see that.

A friend was there at 9:30 and said it was like being there Sunday afternoon, maybe the crowd picked up soon after. Be interesting to see if another Berea show will be held and if they do what changes will be made.
Be there tomorrow when it opens, need a couple parts. Mr Ratliff, I was down on 119th st this morning. Larry

What the tables were telling about how easy it is to sell 'private' sales could be ending by new government rules/laws.
Yes, many pre-locks. Heading back tomorrow as negotiating is better on Sundays.

Went back today, there from 10-11. Almost no cars in the west lot, west and middle buildings were 'void' of customers, seemed like everyone was shopping in the east building.
Again cold, brrrr !
disappointing show for me, most of the S&W revolvers that were prime purchase candidates were gone today. So it was could've would've should've for on yesterday, oh well. There was a 686 6" no dash M stamp target grip box and a 60 no dash box for $1500, the 686 was gone Sunday.
Said 'hi' to 'dant', and to Larry in the east building.
No local shows for quite a while now, next local would be the OGCA coming to Cleveland first weekend of June.

Interesting show, starting out slow but filled in as time went by. Lots of S&W’s and some marked reasonable. Shook hands with some of the table holders I have known for years, hopefully will see them again and if not I said good by. Good people.
Still have the High Standard Derringer as usual after a show, no sale. Didn’t find the couple parts I needed either. Got to see Denny passing by and Dant plus a bunch of other people. Guess most table holders are gonna see what happens as far as the future holds. It’s a shame the direction the country is heading. Gun shows were always a fix needed as part of shooting. Larry
PS. Oh yeah it was cold

Hey guy s it was good to see you and yes colder than a well diggers butt in the klondike, all in all a good show sold lots of "littles' all my long gun cases and rugs, and that newer model 66 combat magnum for my friend , and saw quite a bit walking around but no "panic" buying, and the scuttle butt is there has been "no directive" yet as to the field agents, may come up at the end of the month as the rule is 30 days after entry into the Federal register and Im not sure if it was the 10th or the 11th, guess we'll find , but tried to read some of the 433 pages and all jibber -jabber, and double speak, I went to some law school ( Case, back in the late 60's) and have NO clue it is very confusing but thats "legaleeze" at its finest...ha ha anyway I finally warmed up this afternoon and two hot showers later.....them concrete floors of the fairground barns just not good for old, arthritic legs, bones, knees and hips........take care and stay warm .......

Went to FFF Bagley today, picked up some RCBS reloading stuff. A 'ghost town', didn't even have a checkout aisle open, had to go to the front desk, only one customer at firearm area.
Wednesday went to the Columbus area for firearm related stuff, 352 mile round trip.
Might go to Cabellas Avon Sunday as I'll be in the area.

Stopped in Cabellas Avon, since I was in the area.
I'll start off with nothing interesting in used S&W revolvers in the 'gun library.
Primarily went there for reloading stuff. Secondarily for cargo shorts.
Found, quickly, a employee, he led me to the shorts area. Found some interesting ones but not in my size. A lady employee arrived and told her what I was looking for, she pulled out her handheld stock computer and some were in stock in storage. they went to back and came back with the ones (2) that I wanted.
Went to firearms and asked the employee where is the reloading area, he directed me to what I was seeking. found the RCBS shellholders I wanted.
Normally when i go to Cabellas, it's difficult to find an employee to help, this time was totally different.

Too quiet in here, anybody up to anything interesting. Gun shows are on 'break' for the season, car cruises/shows have started up, and Cedar Point opened but not planning on going until early June.
I'll have a 'few more' for the next 'bunch'. NOSC calendar shows Sept and Oct Saturdays are being taken up.
