When will the next Bunchers event be?
I'll have one more to show (see my 19-3 New to Me thread).

Down in central Maryland my club has started its Wednesday night .22 league. Now that I've finished the cataract surgeries I plan to get my main target .22s sighted in and start making the matches.

Still to be determined, but it'll be a while until 'they' grab a NOSC Saturday. When they do, I'll post a link to the new thread in this thread.

Roger or Gary, call Marty and tell him Saturdays are filling up fast. Have him call Brian before tomorrow morning so Wes can put it on the calendar. Larry

Wow Roger, you move quickly for a senior citizen. Glad Marty was already looking, will see Brian in the morning. In the old days if we met in May, by June I had to grab a Saturday in September-October . I hope it’s not November cause the first 3 Saturdays I will be hunting pheasant, Larry

I didn't particularly like the August date either, but if a date in August is all that is available that would be better than not having it at all...

As it turned out this morning, the basic .22 pistol wasn’t in the way of our meeting. We ended way before 3 pm and they started at 3 pm. Wes wasn’t sure what it was and how it got so many Saturdays???
Marked on the calendar unless something gets in the way. Need a SWCA Member to post it on the collectors side of the forum when it is started to be advertised. I am no longer a SWCA member, Larry

So based on past historical, the new thread for the 2024 fall bunch won't be created until the beginning of July. That'll give two months before the event, sounds good to me.

Denny, you’re always on top of it. Whoever starts the thread, I will copy and paste the places to stay and general guidelines for the day. Just change the dates, Larry

Max Kimber, it will be a pleasure to meet you finally. Hope some other new people attend. Denny has been busy buying new display guns, looks like some nice ones. Larry

Larry, Are your thoughts with the new gun law that will go in effect this Month? I am not sure what it is all about. I did I read that it effects folks that sell guns for an income that don’t have a FFL. Collectors that would sell or buy a gun for there collection would not be included. If you know of anything that may concern us please let us know.

Don't think it was a law, an executive order. There is a thread on it here somewhere. Collectors supposedly allowed to buy & sell buy not sure how the profit part works. It's written so loosely anything you sell could be wrong or a profit. It will have to be challenged to find out what everything means. Larry

Went to Cabellas Avon. For cargo shorts and an outdoor chair. The two pair of cargo shorts I got there last time worked out well and wanted 2 more. The 2 colors I wanted there only had one of them. Also a 'reclineable' outdoor chair.

No local shows because of the holiday weekend.
Nothing on Armslist worth driving for, although there is a 27-2 6" which would put it 1967-1980, down Columbus way.

Just the more recent S/N', early ones had terrible accuracy. They finally got the accuracy dialed in with small modifications and proper twist rate barrel.
Starting about 1995, the barrel became 1:9 twist, 197 series.
Also watching for when FFF puts the Colt AR15A4 on sale, retro 22" barrel, detachable carry handle, Vietnam style stock, 1:7 twist.
