Cheapest and most effective way to kill a small drone

I thought I read somewhere that some states (Texas comes to mind) allow for shooting down drones over private property????

I can neither confirm or deny..

Shooting down a drone with a firearm could get you in trouble with the law. "Accidentally" having a midair collision between your drone and the other? Oops.

Now you're thinkin'
It'd be cheaper to release the "glider tow line" into the props from above though.
You'd still have some splainin' to do as both pilots may be in some flavor of violation. The FAA really made a royal mess of this.
It's best to operate within the FRIA of a registered club, where the transponder and airspace requirements are exempt or avoided.
Fun stuff if you can meet the requirements, but largely useless to the OP.
part of the new FAA requirements are the numbers must be visible on the aircraft. it is a 10 digit alphanumeric string starting with FA ex. FA12E45GT8.
This is traceable directly to the pilot, who, if is in violation of the new regs (probably is) the FAA really want's to have a discussion with that person, as they really don't seem to have anything better to do anyhow.
There's a drone jockey on the east coast facing a few million in fines over his YT vids. Your best weapon might be a 35mm Canon

Ultralight planes are less regulated than R/C planes?

I want my country back :(

Countries around the world are militarizing small drones in mass production.
Maybe mistaken identity?

Thursday when I came out of Cabelas, I got into my Toyota and sipped some coffee I had left in the cup holder.
I see a small white thing moving R to L, West, not that high.
It’s silhouetted against some dark clouds.
Grab the binoculars for a better look.
Yeah, it’s a small flying thingie. Too far away to get a definite description.
Follow it for about 40-50 degrees of travel. It goes behind some trees and I don’t see it reappear.
So - did one of you guys take down?
It must have somewhere!

If your into nature photography drones are most great. You can get pictures not possible with regular cameras.

The first picture is of a park a couple miles from me, I've gone there for years and had no clue it was so close to the ocean.

Most people that own them aren't using them in illegal ways.

That's the same thing with firearms, but there are people & groups trying to take them away also!

I love going exploring with an FPV fixed wing twin.
