Default Not Quite BLT's

I bought a large supply of bacon for an upcoming family outing. My wife was fixing lunch and wanted to know what I wanted on my sandwich? Here is the break down:

BLT= Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato

BELT= Bacon, Lettuce, Egg & Tomato

BELTS= Bacon, Lettuce, Egg, Tomato & Swiss.

I had a BELTS on Dave's 21 seed bread. It was so good! With a Cherry Cole Zero and a fist full of Cheeze-its.

We always called your BELT a Dagwood sandwich. My absolute favorite sandwich.

Sounds like something to put you in the mood for a nap shortly afterwards.

I'm curious. How was the egg prepared? BELTS sound yummy.

Yesterday, I had a bacon and tomato on toasted English Toasting Bread, a Caesar Salad side, and a fist full of potato sticks.

A BELS sounds good. As for the T, they make a wonderful thud when chucked into the woods and plastered against the trees. But I'm careful not to hit the maples, I don't want them contaminating my syrup.

You may make your sandwich any way you wish! The egg on mine are broken and cooled firm.

I only eat raw tomatoes a few times a year and the must be ripe, without slime or mush!

PB&B sounds good Rusty! Creamy or chunky?

Certain sandwiches require a beer. Especially sandwiches with bacon. Might I suggest an ice cold Stella.

It always makes we wonder about people who ruin bacon sandwiches by adding stuff. For me personally a bacon sandwich has bacon and more bacon. A little mayo and more bacon. I didn't have a bacon sandwich to get healthy by adding nutritious veggies.

Sometimes I order a bacon cheese burger with double bacon at my local German bar.
Guys at the bar will turn there heads like "You can do that?"

Yes...yes I can.

I had a little bacon today. Usually have this at least 4 times a week all winter.

I'd already started consumption before taking the picture.

We used to consume lots of bacon. A little too pricey to do very much of that now.

Slightly undercooked bacon goes with just about anything.

Oh, and save the bacon grease for cooking, like potatoes and add a bit, you know - for flavor, to some scrambled eggs!!! Yeah!

I like my bacon with some resistance... "tooth" if you will.

Ruthie likes hers so crispy that she could crumble it and snort it

Slightly undercooked - as in, when picked up the bacon strip bends a tiny bit.

Gotta bleed to pick them...and freezer jam is not cooked so it is still red and tastes like fresh berries...sweet and salty sammich. Slightly chewie bacon...yeah

My dad introduced me to the PB&B 60 years ago when he took me fishing.

My kids and grandkids are hooked on them, too.

She just started making this kind a couple years ago when she turned 85. Last week she ran out and made homemade biscuits. They were a lot better, but ain't no way I'm gonna tell her what kind of biscuits to make. Fried taters, bacon, and scrambled eggs...I'd be happy with a couple pieces of toast!

And then there was Roger Bacon, the 13th Century friar who was the first westerner to describe the making of black powder.

I used to eat lunch at the Flag Room Bar at the
Indianapolis Motor Speedway Motel.

Their Club sandwiches were enough for 2 people
or lunch and dinner for me.

6" tall, toasted bread, bacon, lettuce, tomato,
mayo, turkey and ham. My mouth is watering
at the memory!

Bacon is a food that you put on other food to make it taste better.

When I saw the title of this thread, the first thing that came to mind was BLT = Battalion Landing Team. Sorry it is a Jarhead thing.

I do like bacon sandwiches, just no lettuce or tomato.........
