Gourmet Bacon - Dry Cured & Smoked - Tender Belly

Found at Whole Foods,Sprouts and Fry's IMNoTW.
The bottom ones are like Polish Deli Bacon. Cut off the slab and you need to add oil to fry it.

Excellent.

No matter how you like your bl T, the "T" is the most important ingredient. Now if I could only figure how to have these in January. I really like bacon too.

Actually . . . . (true story) . . . . I was standing inside a food spot one time in line at the counter where it was impossible NOT to hear the speaker blasting the calls from the cars in the drive through; THIS one stuck in my mind . . . ..

"Hey ! I'd like two 'o them B.L.T.'s, please, but I don't want no tomaters on thet".

I guess technically, he just wanted a "B.L."

Biscuits are awesome,,, nothing like pouring some honey over your butter and taking a fork and blending that magic mixture,, so amazing when the hot biscuit melts the butter and honey together..

Just don't eat that before a cardiology appt,, them dudes can smell cholesterol on your breath...

Oh, great looking biscuits Mom,, but my Aunt Jack made that most amazing biscuits, possibly even better than Granny's...

Speaking of...

This is one of the last pics that Leon posted. He sure was proud of his wife's biscuits and honey.

Rather than weird, let's just say; "Non-Traditional."

I make B&T sammies, as the L gets too brown too fast. A well built Club sandwich is great. Bacon and scrambles with toast. Going to try Rustys PB&B with Mayo.

Oh, and save the bacon grease for cooking, like potatoes and add a bit, you know - for flavor, to some scrambled eggs!!! Yeah!
Bacon and bacon drippings are their own food group. We always keep several jars of bacon grease around. Perfect for frying hash browns in.

I am a bit flummoxed at people putting bacon on sandwiches though, how does it last lost enough. Doesn't bacon go into your belly a few minutes after being taken out of the frying pan?

What's so weird about that? Without the honey and bacon that's what Elvis used to eat.

The Elvis PB&B sandwich is still my favorite. Except on whole wheat bread instead of white. I might try frying it in bacon grease instead of margarine.

A good BLT, heavy on the bacon, with a generous smear of mayo, is about as good as a sandwich gets IMO...

Went to the local restaurant Sat night and ordered a BELT sandwich with over medium egg.

Several people walked over and asked what it was that was making such a mess. This isn't the best sandwich for someone with a full length beard, also be sure to roll your sleeves up to your shoulders.

A very tasty sandwich, but extremely messy.

For sandwiches, we always cook the eggs firm, learned that raising 4 kids, and still see the wisdom feeding 9 grandkids! Yes, the Bacon eating gene is a dominate gene in our family.

They make a great cheeseburger there that I have them add bacon, egg, ham and tomato to, the over medium egg works for that sandwich but I'll take your advice on the new one next time. Thank you.
