New NFL rules for next season...
For some reason it doesn't surprise me.
Too many touchbacks so how the ball goes in the endzone determines where the Offense lines up.
Something about having to announce an onside kick. DUH!!! You're down with under a minute to go and no timeouts. What are we going to do? The defense will never know.
You want to minimize injuries on kickoff returns? How about making that part of the game using only five players on each side.
It's not well known but Taylor Swift will get more face time at all Chiefs games.

Welcome to the National Flag League.
The competition committee unanimously banned the "swivel hip-drop" tackle.
I predict an officiating judgement call/enforcement nightmare.

I think Kelce & Swift broke up. I'll still watch the Steelers. Another rule for the refs to mess up. Jack Lambert can add running backs and receivers to the list as well as quarterbacks. (If you know, then you know.)

The NFL has only one purpose now: To get people to give their money to FanDuel and Draft Kings. You might as well be watching a roulette wheel than an NFL game.

I kinda miss the crack back, the forearm shiver, head slap, the wedge and defensive backs slathering themselves with stickum

The extra challenge and reviews of the hip drop tackle should add about 45 minutes to the game.

Taylor Swift is not noted for having long-term relationships, this latest one may not last until the season begins. Depending on the information source and the definition of a relationship, she has burned through between 13 and 21 boyfriends so far.

But now she is married (I think). No telling how long this could last

Looks like a good idea to me. Will lead to way more returns, which are fun to watch, than we had this past season while still protecting kickoff receivers from excessive injury.

Had a buddy who played in Welsh club rugby. Not a big fellow, maybe 5' 8" at most, but his reputation as a tackler went before him. It was all in his timing and how he wrapped up the opponents legs. Suddenly stop the other guy's legs from moving and he falls over. He once said of American Football that they don't tackle, they just try to hit.
Just watched a video of hip-drop tackles and I'm at a loss to see how it will be refereed. You are basically saying that if a big receiver gets going with the ball then a small cornerback or safety will be unable to stop him unless he has the skills of my buddy described in the first paragraph. The only "fix" is to make the players at those positions bigger than they are now to make bigger hits on the oncoming receivers. That's where teams will go. I assume the NFL is trying to up the number of scores.

All for it, no need to injure any players unnecessarily, the game is hard on anatomy as it is.

Now they are going to have those new kick off rules where no one runs until the ball is caught or on the ground. They really are making it unwatchable.

NFL means words that I cannot say online, nor on this forum.
The The Buffalo Bills just announced that in order to buy a season ticket you have to buy a seat licence to enable you to buy a ticket to sit in that seat. Licencees are in the neighborhood of $15,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year.
THAT, is in addition to the Billions of dollars the taxpayers are being FORCED to pay to build the new stadium.
I simply can't understand why people put up with having a hot shaft pushed up their *****. Back in the day, Saint Ralph was bad enough. The Pegulas are cutthroat.

You're kidding, right?
I too am no fan of our so-called leaders committing huge sums of taxpayer money for sports stadiums. As I understand it, not one of these part-publicly funded stadiums has payed for itself. The local taxpayers always end up holding the bag in front of a decaying building.

I watched part of the Super Bowl. I grilled a steak during the half time. I think Kansas City played somebody, but don't remember who. I remember when most of the linemen didn't have face masks...or teeth. It was more fun back then.

The NFL is doomed.
They’re imposing so many rules that players are going to get hurt while they’re trying not to hurt someone.
It’s a contract sport!
That’s okay. They’ve gone woke. I don’t watch anyway.

I can't aford to go to games any more, at the prices that they want.
I have to settle for watching the boob tube and all the commercials.
I agree that tuch backs happen way too much and they need to back those kickers back, a little more, to see more run backs.
On onside and kick offs, the ball is "Live" as soon as it is kicked,
so that one new rule will never fly, since they will be off to the races
at the sound of impact.
A few more stupid rules and I might take up Bingo.

If I were a special teams coach, I'd start looking for a kick returner who can throw the ball...
This could be a lotta fun to watch as play adjusts to the possibilities.

In baseball the SF Giants are frowned upon by other owners as they actually were foolish enough to build their own stadium after taxpayers refused to pay for it. I am not up on what the tax situation is but the stadium is paid for and every ticket goes to team revenue, not shared.

Re tutus, tinker bell shoes, and similar comments, how about boxing gloves? Are they acceptable for pro boxers? Used to be bare knuckles. And no round limit.
