Default Set up at a local gun show this weekend.

I retired last year and decided to reduce the accumulation. During the set up Friday night the gun show said that this was going to be the last gun show they were scheduling until the new EO is interpreted, which they expected to take a year or two, if ever. Look how long Trumps bump stock fiasco has taken to interpret.

People were very hesitant to trade firearms due to this uncertainty. They guy at the table next to me was selling coins, gold and silver. He still did a very brisk business.

I couldn't help but think with a stroke of a pen trading firearms could be very difficult without a Federal License. Based on what I observed that pen stroke lowered demand which lowers value.

Why are people so confident that same stroke of a pen will not make trading gold and silver difficult for the average individual?

Worked the Greenville S.C. gun show this weekend for the American Legion. It was WELL attended. I talked to a LOT OF MEN AND WOMEN. There was serious talk about where our nation is heading at this time. "We have had enough"!! was a common theme. I do not know when the tipping point will be, BUT brother it is coming soon IMHO.

The BATF has visited three of the flippers at a local swap meet here in the Indy area, the first fellow was assembling AR's from uppers he'd purchase. Often had two tables of these, BATF confiscated 500 + of his guns when they found that two of the AR's were full auto. Took more than 2 years for the BATF to return his guns minus the two full auto ones. The other two guys were visited by BATF and given stern warnings with the threat of substantial fines and possible jail time. None of the three had FFL's and in one instance two guns that he's sold were involved in violent crimes in Chicago. His visit was not only from BATF but Chicago Police. Bad time to be selling without a FFL, they're trying to change the definition of "engaging in the business" to include private individuals selling an occassional gun. They're looking at the guy who is selling to downsize or liquidate an estate, new definition of being a dealer is if you're making a profit and supporting firearm selling activity with this profit. Got several of the guys spooked, rightfully so, BATF's parting words were that the guys they visited would be "under surveilance". Big Brother is watching.
