I do not really understand why people still buy the cheap hot dogs that come 10 in a package. I buy the slightly more expensive, slightly larger hot dogs that come eight in a package. Since the buns also come in packages of eight, it works out fine.



But if you insist on buying the 10 pack of hot dogs, four packages of hot dogs and five packages of buns comes out to 40 each.



Sam's club has started selling quarter pound all beef hot dogs, a package of 12. If you do that one you need two packages of hot dogs and three packages of buns.

When your done beating this hot dog issue to death, you can tackle the real mystery of life. What wastes more time and effort...getting the last dab of peanut butter out of the jar, or the last dab of toothpaste out of the tube.

I was told the correct way is to lay the hotdog catty cornered so the meat is not sticking past the edge of the bread. Larry

Standard packaging for hot dogs is 8/pk. Same goes for the buns. Maybe it wasn't always this way. I buy Bar-S hot dogs in a 24pk. I then vacuum seal them in packs of 8 and freeze for later. Wouldn't buy any other quantity undivisible by eight unless I was making franks and beans in a pan.

I like Nathan's hot dogs. The ones I buy come 6 in a package. Buns 8. I'd have to buy 4 packs of dogs and 3 packs of buns to come out even.
