Default Looking a touch damp in SE Texas

Just saw on the news that they had 11 inches of rain in 24 hours in an area that was already pretty saturated. That's ugly.

Probably can't cross Sabine river. That's a LOT of water that quick.

Bad street and bayou flooding on northern edges of Houston. Unconfirmed house flooding. Evacuations in low lying areas. Same flood plains where houses were totaled last time and it was illegal to rebuild for a few months until developers had the law changed and resold the same lots.

There was a big jam in prayer requests for rain last summer during the drought and He is just now working through them!

Same ting down here around Lafayette. Hate to say it, but the next big rain event down here or a slow moving hurricane is gonna crush Youngsville Broussard and Maurice.

That was in my area...My property has good drainage, but others downstream were not as fortunate...A brief but intense hurricane at that time took everything from a family of my acquaintance......Ben

We live on the other side of Houston from all the rain and got a couple inches over the same time period. It was nasty to look at on the radar. My sister headed back to Colorado leaving out of Hobby airport on the south side of Houston and had a 3 hour delay getting out. t least she did make it home eventually.

With that law firm under water, your business should pick up mightily. Joe

There he is! I knew somebody on here lived in Conroe. Glad you are above the water level.

Thanks, Steve...Concerning the family I mentioned earlier, one member did not survive...Our community is much the less because of the storm...The young lady who rents the apartment above my garage worked for the late Lt. Waller, a 22 year veteran of the Conroe PD......Ben

That's awful. I read about the flooding, but I had no clue your area was also hit by tornadoes.
