Northern lights light up North Georgia
Rabun county, the N.E. corner of Georgia. The colors are barely visible to the naked eye but plainly seen through my phone.

Only times I ever saw them was over the Aleutians in a BUFF flying a 24 Hour Airborne Mission.

I've seen them while visiting Alaska, but being able to watch the Northern Lights from my porch in the Arkansas Ozarks is pretty cool.

Would like to experience the sight someday esp. kicked back on that slope below the Rabun Gap - Nacoochee School facing the wrong direction but an easy fix. A bonus would be the high temp there 20 - 30 deg. cooler than down here.
Thanks for the pictures.

Faulkner your colors are extremely vivid. My son is experiencing similar views in east central Georgia, Glascock county.

We are on the north side of Black Rock Mountain, overlooking the valley behind the school.

My wife is in southern Wisconsin this week. I spoke to her tonight, she said the Northern Lights are plainly visible, a pinkish color.

Not seeing anything here, yet. Of course, I have the city directly north of me, so the light pollution is pretty thick.

I'd need a 50 mile ride North to get away from the lights here.

That's pretty cool being able to see them this far South. Some stuff is going on from the sun, sun spots & storms and I think I saw Solar Maximus thrown in there from an article I glanced through. It's supposed to be messing with satellites, etc., long distance radio communications bouncing off the ionosphere, and a lot of technical stuff that is gonna keep space people busy the next few days. (Probably our carbon emissions and cattle exhausts.) They say one can see the lights through a cell phone much easier, kinda like when that circle is around the sun sometimes. Enjoy the Heavens' light shows.

Pink and orange glow here with green flashes where we live. At 3 am I could see the green flashes and a faint glow to the north.

Last night outside Pahrump, NV. Not as spectacular as the night before, but worth the effort.

About 16 miles east of Pahrump off Basin. Near the old logging camp.

Unfortunately, I must have been under a rick - as I did not know about it.
I would have watched it if I knew.

Had a kid from Alaska in my platoon in basic training. Whenever he did something dumb, the drill sergeant would blame it on the northern lights.
