Don't go to Lowe's for the signs. Go to walmart for bacon, onions and a little garlic.
Nice pics, by the way.

I used to have a bunch of quail running around when I first built my house here in FL, one of the few on the block. Then others built and let their cats run loose. The quail quickly disappeared. Now they howl like heck when the bobcats and coyotes get their precious furbabies.

My wife feeds the birds (mostly dove) every day in our backyard. We've had a pair of quail visiting most mornings for their daily "welfare" allotment.

I've been feeding squirrels for many years. Bluebirds and crows come by on occasion. Lately 3 cats have made a habit of dropping by on different days. All they do is upset the meal schedule for the others.

I googled the bird-- blue scale quail-- is that correct?
I've never heard of it. I'm from bobwhite country.
As they say, I learn something on this forum every day.

Inkie, my cat is not let out side. So they are safe for most of the time...

Yep. There are enough parks, golf courses, and open areas for these guys to set up home and then come visiting the neighborhood.

Before the "Blizzard of 78" we had lots of quail. I actually prefer pheasant! Now the coyote infestation has wiped them out.

A little too early for quail to show up in my back yard, they are still up on the hills, but I do have some dove that have been checking out a nesting area in my trees.
The feeders kick into high gear about the middle of June when chicks of all kinds, start to pop up.
Last year we had a hen Gamble with a clutch of eleven chicks following her around. I place boards on my yards's different elevations to help the "Kids" get around the place and a upside down frisby, under cover, to have a bath in.

Same here. House next door has a horse barn. One of the string of previous owners had many barn cats. They wiped out the quail and they've never returned. I like house cats but loose cats are horrible for the environment. Assasination has crossed my mind.

The downside of that may be an unfortunate invasion of barn rats.
