Default You can't nest there!

Was looking out into my covered patio when something above head level caught my eye. Hah! The Mourning Doves are taking a ride on the fan being blown by the wind. Cute, huh?

Then they rearranged themselves. Uh-Oh!! I don't need them setting up home there, time to step outside to shoo them off. 'Tis springtime, I guess.

There is a product called "Roost No More" that I would paint on places to keep them from building nests. It stays sticky for years in Ohio conditions, then recoat.

I have swallows nesting on my security cameras every spring. I try to move them asap but they rebuild them overnight.Occasionally some eggs get destroyed. Sad but necessary..

At my last house we had to put up an awning due to excessive afternoon seat. The birds loved it,building their nests. It was a constant struggle, they build, I take down the nest. They move the nest from one side of the awning to the other.

One year I put up some netting, bad move, the birds got tangled up so down comes the netting.

The whole thing was funny in a way as they were watching me taking the nest down from nearby trees, chirping all the time, and doing flyovers while I was on a ladder.

One year we went away for two weeks, came home and found a well built nest. I pulled it down with a hanger and out dropped two eggs. Aww.

At my new abode, birds build nests in a couple evergreens we have. I leave them be. I just wish they would stop flying into our windows.

Found this young un on the ground a few weeks ago. Just let mama do her thing.

On our recent trip to Amalfi, we were buzzed by a large bird returning to its nest while we were entering a gift shop.

My son in Indiana has a decorative wreath hanging on his front door, robin's built a nest in the wreath for the second year in a row. They have had to quit using the front door until the chicks are gone.

My son in Illinois has a decorated wreath hanging on the wall next to his front door. Robin's have built a nest in that wreath also, they too had to quit using their front door. Anybody going near the front door get's buzzed by the robin's. My daughter in law posted a sign warning delivery people to be wary about the possible bird attacks. The grand kids are bird lovers and have 2 pet parakeets they adore so the thought of evicting the robin's never entered their minds.

Territorial mockingbirds doing their thing, saw one chase a squirrel along the top of a wood fence. Lord help the crows above and the cats below.
Few years back I reached the point where I carried a tennis raquet around to the side yard.
