Twenty Four Years Ago Today
I met the wonderful woman who was to become my wife.
I plan to celebrate by hiking her favorite mountain trail and fixing our traditional anniversary meal. Pork chops, rice and brussels sprouts.
That's the first meal we ever fixed together.
We'd share a bottle of wine for supper but I think I'll just have a beer.

While 24 years is not that long, you got to enjoy a great marriage for longer than many! A bitter sweet day for sure. Sometimes life is just unfair!

Anniversary day today went well. Started with a hike on Lisa's favorite trail.
Interesting thing happened.
While I was on my way back to the truck, I saw a quick flash of orange then something brushed my lips. Dunno what it was but it was there and gone in an instant.
After I got home and showered, I started cooking our traditional anniversary supper.
Pork chops, rice and brussels sprouts.
I'd do the cooking of the pork and rice and Lisa would prepare the brussels sprouts. She'd prepare them in a garlic butter sauce.
So, I thought I'd do the same.
The rice came out just right, the pork was pretty tasty but the brussels sprouts were just a bit over spiced.
We'd usually share a bottle of wine with dinner but I just had some cream soda. However, I had it in a wine glass and brought a second one so I could clink them together and wish Lisa a Happy Anniversary.
