Default New Flag

I got my new flag up just in time for Memorial Day.

May God rest the souls of my departed friends.

On my walk around the block this afternoon I counted 22 American flags flying.

Kinda makes a feller lumpy in the throat.

I just replaced my year old flag with a brand new one Friday. Locally, on Flag Day, the Boy (or whatever they are called now) Scouts has a large flag retirement ceremony at the County Fair Grounds. Several hundreds of flags will be retired in the appropriate manner with a formal ceremony. I wanted to make sure I got my old flag replaced and turned in to the Sheriff's Dept. (the local collection point) in time. Just happened to also coincide with Memorial Day.
Remember that flags should be lowered to half staff at 12:01 am Memorial Day and then returned to full staff at 12:00 noon.

I grabbed this off the web a few minutes ago.

Self explanatory.

Salute! The Boy Scouts (or whatever they are called now) put them up here as a fund raiser. Looks nice uniform flags on each side of the street.

My wife and I wanted a flag but, didn't want to take it down at night. We got a light set up that will come on at dusk. Unfortunately we are surrounded but pride flags and Ukraine flags. Keeping the original flag going.

We built a new home last year. Soon after we moved in I added a flag pole.

During my first walk today I saw 26 American flags, 3 US Army flags, 2 USMC flags, 2 Thin Blue Line flags and a lone "Roll Tide" (recent transplant).
