This was a great movie, great actors and drama.
Anyone else love the ending?

The original was better, the new one sucked and I bought it without previewing.

If you mean the new one, I enjoyed it but thought the ending was implausible, to say the least. I've never seen the original.

I loved it...driving it over to my cousin's this afternoon so his lazy *** could see it. And he wants me to pick up ice cream and oreos on the way over.

Okay. What happens, see, is Christian Bale's character throws some dynamite in attempt to stop the stampede, but it's deflected by a horn and goes into a cravass in a butte and explodes, releasing a horde of zombies which everyone on both sides of the law begin shooting, BUT Russell Crowe's character kills them with single shots to the torso, which seemed really implausible to me.

Ben Wade loathed the individual members of his gang and held no love or concern for his segundo, Charlie "Princess" Prince.

You've got to listen to Wade's words as he explains his own position as leader of
the gang being a member of it as well.

If Princess had not prevailed early on, the gang would have abandoned Wade and cared not a wit what happened to him.

While I didn't care much for this movie, I thought the Charlie Prince character made it almost worthwhile.

Hey, I'm lazy and want to see it, too. Can you bring it over tomorrow? BTW, I prefer chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream.

Who needs plausible. It's a freakin movie. I thought it was entertaining. That's what movies are supposed to do.

So I don't need Netflex... I thought it was supposed to be good...Netflex, I mean...

Is it on the internets?!?

Is Nexflex a movie house or a gym?

I remember signing petitions at movie picture houses- (theaators) way back that said the cable companies would kill movies... is this a movie?

The wife and I saw it in the theatre when it first came out and enjoyed it. I've since bought the DVD. It's a fun, park your brain at the door western. There's some great acting and scenes, but there are a few things that stretch the bounds of believability.

The original was fantastic. Much more of a character study than the new version. Glenn Ford absolutely owned his character. The new one is probably more accurate for costuming and weaponry. And besides any movie with a Gatling gun is definately worth watching.

George forgot his meds tonight. I think I got my colors mixed up. It's all Cajuns fault.

Little help here, please --- am I correct in inferring that there are two iterations of a film based on the Elmore Leonard western, one of fairly recent vintage (+/- a couple of years ago) and an earlier version, too?

Yep JKC there sure is, a much older and FWIW much better one starring Glenn Ford. It is however a B&W and I don't usually care much for them but that one as far as i'm concerned is the best one.
