I don't know who, but I sent my brother a shotgun question and it was shot down! Pun intended. Blocked. Would not go thru.

Anyone else had this happen? Tried twice, failed both times

The software on the phone sending the message is Google's, as is the operating system hosting that software.

If that is the case (which I can't argue) then I would first send a normal text to see if it gets blocked.

The OP can also send his texts using Verizon from his computer.

What does Google have to do with sending a text msg on a Verizon cellphone?

That's what I am asking. I text my brother everyday, but someone did not like the subject matter and blocked it. No technical error. I tried it twice. Never happened before.

It was a somewhat tactical question, it showed up on my phone boxed in grey and a red circle next to it.

I was just asking if this has happened to anyone else before and why.

I text my friend all the time about firearms. He's an out of state ffl and a C&R collector guy and there's been pictures, texts all about firearms. Never had a problem. I have an android, but use Net10/tracphone for my service.

Did you have service? I have seen failed messages but never had one blocked yet.

I know is sounds silly, but there is one establishment I frequent and I can't get a message through to my wife's phone for some reason. I can text others no problem, but her android doesn't receive it from my I Phone.

Red circle or red dot? Red dot indicates you were out of coverage. Were you in your normal spot, or out and about?

I will sometimes (quite rarely) get that along with "Message Not Delivered." I haven't noticed any correlation to the content of the message, though. It pretty much always goes through on the second try, though. I'm skeptical that it has anything to do with anti gun sentiments. I text back and forth with my son about guns all the time.

Not to drift but there is a huge difference in Verizon's coverage strength between 4g and 5g.

Not recent but I remember times when a distance of 50' enabled a phone call or turned my phone into a paperweight.
