I first saw #1 with a photo of an EOD tech at work. Hopefully posed. #7 reminds me of one of those advice column writers. She (Erma Brombeck-I've remembered this one for decades) advised that if you lusted after a degree in something like medieval French literature, you'd best have a backup skill. Like welding.
